Being from Colorado, I was immediately draw to this place. We were pleasantly surprise not only by the great beer, but the great people. Worth the stop, you won't be disappointed. Make sure to check out the butterfly sanctuary next door.

Best place to see the Howler monkeys up close. Very friendly staff as well! Go there and have a craft brew and enjoy nature.

We trekked up very steep hills after the waterfall to get here, almost passed out, but it was well worth it. Like another reviewer stated, the tour of the mariposario was great. We learned a lot and it wasn't too short or too long. The refreshing beer afterwards was delicious as well. We met the owners who were very cool.... More

The butterflies are indescribably beautiful. The gardens were mostly empty and very tranquil when we were there, and we enjoyed the peace of watching them and photographing them. It's a cheap excursion, and make sure you check out Clandestina after for a beer.

Emily I had such a wonderful time showing you and your husband around the garden. Your moment with the blue morpho was so magical and extra sweet knowing it was your honeymoon. I dont see a way to add a photo for you here on my tripadvisor reply but if you find us on facebook or email us I would... More

Great little restaurant/brewery/hotel with a butterfly sanctuary on site. The sanctuary tour was interesting and we were able to see dozens of butterflies and chrysalises. The tour lasted ~30 minutes or so, which worked out well given our group's collective attention span. The woman who gave us the tour was very friendly and entertained our numerous (probably ridiculous!) questions about... More

An excellent spot full of butterflies. They have Blue Morphos in abundance, which are really spectacular. There's also a breeding lab that they'll show you around in if you're nice.

Owned by an extremely knowledgeable and friendly couple, we were delighted by the personally escorted visit to the nursery and gardens. Got some great shots of the elegant and magnificent blue morpho and numerous others. We got to watch and learn about the process from egg-laying through chrysalis forming and hatching. Such a shame those gorgeous morphos only live 3... More

loved the lab showing the work they are doing. The Blue Morphs alone are worth the trek up the hill.

Make sure you have the guide with you because you will learn so much about Costa Rica, butterflies at all stages of life, and even something about the foliage and insects native to this region. I came away feeling so much more knowledgeable about many of the very things I had always ignored when moving through this beautiful region. The... More

Stepping into the butterfly garden is stepping into a world of tranquility and beauty. Watching the breathtaking blue morpho butterflies fly through this lush garden is a joy. Getting to learn about their life cycle and that of their other butterflies is a bonus. I observed Pauline giving a tour to a family with small children and can say that... More
