This is the first year that my family has surfed with Young Vision. They are punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient and good teachers. Everyone rode the waves standing on the first day. Alverado is an aspiring great naturalist as well as surfing instructor who loves to teach about the local ecology on these beautiful walks to the school site... More

This is the third year that my three kids and various cousins, uncles and aunts have surfed with Young Vision. They are friendly, professional, kind and really, really good teachers. Everyone has "gotten up" on the first day. Our family loves these guys so much that in our ten-day stays, it's part of the daily routine to walk with Manny... More

I would like to share my experience with Young Vision because I've had several poor experiences with surf instructors in other parts of the world - Encuentro in the Dominican, Jobos in Puerto Rico, etc, etc. This review is for those of you who have had a taste of surfing and have fallen in love with the sport, but you... I was at Anamaya Yoga Centre in Montezuma for a week in Nov2014, and, though I hadn’t arrived with any intention to surf, decided to try it once - and was instantly hooked. I took lessons with Young Vision Surf School for four days and had an incredible time. They efficiently manage large groups of students of varying abilities by... More

I have always wanted to go surfing and Young Vision was the perfect school to select. All the instructors are top notch (read: some of the best surfers in the country). They are extraordinarily patient, encouraging and fun! I worked with Alejandro and we had the best time. It's so clear he loves what he does and that comes out... More

I've tried surfing a few times before and was never able to actually get up and surf. So I signed up for a surf and yoga retreat at Anamaya Resort knowing that I probably wouldn't get up but that I would have fun trying! These guys got me up the first day! I was so surprised and ecstatic. They're so... More

I had the pleasure of going to Anamaya Resort this Nov 2014 and took a yoga and surf package. My surf instructor was Susanna and she was amazing - I was trying surfing for the first time and she encouraged me to push my boundaries (as I am not a great swimmer). Thanks to her I stood up on the... More

awsome experience with awsome guys! wonderfull and quiet spot. The feelings was incredible when at 8h in the morning while taking my board to the beach I was surrounded by the sounds of the waves breaking on the shores and the howler monkeys yelling at us. I was feeling so alive. The surf coach are awsome too. They give you... More

I was teaching a yoga retreat at Anamaya this last July and decided to surf during the afternoons off. In the 5 days of being a beginner, I found the instructors to be quite sympathetic and wise in their approach. I felt safe but challenged. I appreciated their sense of humor and seriousness involved with such a great sport. Manuel... More
