One of my favorites spots in the world!!! Three consecutive amazing waterfalls with refreshing pools surrounded by pristine forest and a lot of wildlife. A deep connection with Mother Nature!!!

When you get to the falls, there's a path opposite the giant falls that will take you up and over to the top. (worth it! two giant pools, the top one has a rope you can swing off of and into the pool) It is a difficult climb that entails vertical portions where you have to use the ropes that... More

Although not the easiest place to get to (which is part of the charm). Once there it is great for swimmig in the pool below or if a little braver then diving from the waterfall. Very easy to spend an afternoon here just sitting in the sun and swimming

About a half hour, moderately easy hike right out of Montezuma. When you get to the falls swim is very refreshing. We went late afternoon and there were only 10 people there. Very enjoyable and free.

Fun little hike to a beautiful waterfall and refreshing pool. The kids had a ton of fun and liked watching folks jump off the falls into the pool.

Super cool site to see. We visited in the dry season and it was an easy walk up from the road. Don't get suckered into to paying for parking at the bridge. Park on the road or somewhere else. Wear water shoes and walk up the creek bed and you can miss it. We spent a couple of hours just... More

Keep to the side trails and do not get following the creek bed as the rocks are horrendous. The kids all take the hike and a goodly share take their beer and are not reluctant to throw the cans in the creek and pool at the bottom of the falls. Falls are OK but the quantity of water do not... More

Definetly worth the sweat to get there. You will kick yourself in the butt for not checking it out. Bring some cold beers and a snack with you because you'll not want to leave once your there. Enjoy

The Montezuma Falls consist of three separate waterfalls. They are reached by following the river bed from the main beach road near Hotel Amor de Mar. A relatively easy 15 minute hike (shoes recommended) leads you to the first (and busiest) waterfall, which is the tallest of the three. This is a nice spot for a swim, but watch the... More
