Worth the walk!

Water is colder than the ocean, which is nice when it is 35celcius outside! Wear good shoes, it can be slippery.

The water is cool, which feels great (you won't even notice it's brown). There's cliff you can climb to jump and a tarzan rope. There's climbing involved if you want to see them all.

We loved hiking to the waterfall, and the swim at the end is refreshing. Definitely worth doing, and completely free.

The good points are that the falls are a nice walk/hike from town and it's free. The day we went, the swimming hole at the first fall was very brown and there was a lot of people there. It was around noon on a Saturday. We had sandals and not enough water so we chose to hike any further. We... More

the first falls and pool was a god send as my insect repelant was burning my legs! But if you climb the vines at the back it leads to a path where you can get to the pools further up. You also get some cool views of the falls and pool from above!

The waterfalls were easy to find. After reading a few reviews about them I was expecting a long and tedious journey to reach them. Actually it was fine. The great surprise was that it was free, which is very surprising for Costa Rica.

the view of the waterfall was a bit underwhelming as the access point I was led to is at the top rather than the bottom. You can jump from one of the smaller falls that pours into the larger one, and there is a rope swing, so it's definitely for more active travelers and not ones just interested in the... More

After a 30 minute hike into the jungle you come to this amazing waterfall with crisp and clean water to jump into. Jump from a rock or from under the falls and enjoy the cool water in the typical hot Montezuma weather.

Awesome grimace sure and get a guide. Wear good shoes. You need to bring lots of water and a good back pack and perhaps sun screen. The falls have 3 levels I would suggest going to all three to make sure you g wry the full exercise evidence.

We took the wrong route so it was a little more challenging to get to it (but I don't regret it). When we got there it was so nice, even though other people were there, everyone was just swimming, hanging out or taking photos. There were also kids jumping off of the different levels.
