My husband and myself attended Srikanta's fire-dancing workshop in Montezuma in March, which was organised by LEDS. The entire retreat was exceptionally well organised. Jeremy handled the admin, logistics and co-ordination impeccably. Srikanta's fire staff and poi workshop was beyond amazing! Words cannot describe. It was one the most amazing experiences we have ever had. Srikanta's is a master of... More

The week long poi and staff retreat I took at LED with Skritanta Barefoot was one of the best holidays I have ever had!! Both the fire dancing and yoga instruction we had was second to none - the week was both fun packed and super relaxing!! I met a wonderful bunch of people and have come home a happier... More

It's over a month since I left and the feeling of calm and relaxation are still with me. Montezuma is amazing; from the paradise-like beach and forests, to the wonderful people, the amazing local produce and the surprising variety of restaurants and bars. And the Escuela is a perfect place to enjoy it all from. I stayed two weeks and... More

Hey Jane, I'm glad you had such a great time. It was fun to have you around! It's funny that you say "If you end up unhappy with anything about the place or your scehdule, don't live with it and then have a moan on trip advisor afterwards; speak to them and they will do whatever they can to improve... I spend the most intense two weeks in this awesome place, had fun, dance, learn how to surf and fire dance too, the people there is just amazing and the best of all REAL, I felt like family between them, Andrea is so willing to make you feel at home and Jer is a great fire dance adviser, he is... What an amazing vacation. Even at my young age of 19 I have been to many destinations including New Zealand, France and many places in the Carribean and by far, my week long trip to La Escuela del Sol in Montezuma tops my list. Everyone who works for LEDS is genuine and committed to giving each guest the best Costa... More

I originally booked for one week on the surfing and yoga course but loved Montezuma so extended my time there for a few additional days and then returned a week later. The courses were great, with instructors for both being really friendly and helpful. I was doing the course over Christmas Day and Blue (one of the surf instructors) cooked... More

Despite hearing about how empty it was at that time of year (October), it turned out to be the perfect time to visit Montezuma as there was just the right amount of tourists before the high season kicked in (though I think we were completely lucky not to have any rain!). The town was adorable and super chilled out, the... More

In general a positive experience. I came for 3 weeks and ended up staying 4 because poi was so much fun. The staff is lovely, the place is safe and clean. Showers are warm, the common area is relaxed. The kitchen could definitally use some extra pots and pans tho, and 2,5 firepits to cook is just really not enough... More

Hey Ooooooooooy, Thanks for your review. Glad you loved the poi and scuba and so glad you decided to stay longer than your intended program! That's always a good sign. :) I'm also sorry to hear about that your surfing class didn't meet your expectations. Speaking with our surf instructors, I'm told that from the very start there was a...
