Hi, my wife spent 4 weeks at La Escuela taking a combination of spanish, yoga and poi. I spent almost 3 weeks there too. I can't say enough about how wonderful of a job they did. The hotel is extremely convenient, take a few steps and you in the middle of the main street. The restaurants are excellent and close... More

Absolutely loved my two weeks here. Gabriel and Dennis at reception were easily the best concierge I've seen at any hotel. Wendy's Spanish classes were amazing! Randall got me surfing! And both yoga teachers even got me to enjoy yoga. If you are on the fence about going to LEDS let me just say you need to stop thinking and... More

i can't say enough about my two week experience at LEDS. I felt completely safe and comfortable and I met incredible people from all over the world. The Spanish classes were a lot of fun and I learned yoga in the open air gathering room to the beautiful sounds of the Montezuma jungle. I hope to return some day to... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this school. We took 3-4 hours of Spanish lessons a day and took yoga classes in the evening. All the teachers were wonderful. We loved our Spanish teachers and our yoga instructors. The hotel that houses the school is clean and nice. The school and hotel staff are wonderful. Kudos to... More

La escuela del sol was everything I had hoped it would be and more. With an electric mix of classes available I'm sure everyone could find something that intrigues them to learn and the staff are very knowledgeable about other excursions. The rooms were so clean and comfortable and the electronic safe was great for keeping valuables safe without worrying... More

I would definitely recommend La Escuela Del Sol to anyone looking to learn Spanish and/or do yoga classes in Costa Rica. I was told that the surfing and the poi were also great, but I didn't take those classes so I can't speak from personal experience. The teachers were fantastic and the location in Montezuma is fabulous - the beach... More

That sounds like an exaggeration, and any trip to Costa Rica is going to be amazing, but LEDS is truly a special place, operated by wonderful people. From the owner, Jeremy, to the housekeeper (Roxana) to the maintenance man (Dennis), everyone is helpful, friendly and accommodating. I did a lot of research before choosing where to travel, and even the... More

La Escuela del Sol is a wonderful way to spend your time in Montezuma. I made the trip to Costa Rica actually for the sole purpose of attending this school, taking 3 weeks of poi classes, 1 week of Spanish lessons and 2 weeks of yoga. The poi classes were great, especially considering I was lucky enough to have private... More

I've been to Costa Rica before and I've traveled to quite a few exotic countries but I fell in LOVE with Costa Rica this time around and especially with the Montezuma area! I took the trip solo and whether you're looking to come out with a friend or solo, it'll be an awesome experience. The surfing instructors are top notch!... More

I spent a week surfing and at spanish school here in early December and had the best time. The teachers are great, really nice with good english, I had Pablo and Wendy and both were very professional. My room was ok, quite noisy on the ground floor, but I was pretty busy with activities and enjoying Montezuma to spend a... More
