Beautiful park in the Monte verde region with many activities including the butterfly garden, hummingbird feeding stations, hanging bridges and best of the all the Zip lines

My husband and I really enjoyed Selvatura's zip line. The combination of flying through the trees, and then high above valleys of cloud forest, was amazing and a wonderful feeling. If it weren't for what happened in the last two seconds of the last zip line, I would highly recommend the experience. The last line is 1km long, and the... More

Even though it was still raining, I think this was our best day in Costa Rica. We went in the morning. We visited the butterfly garden before going to the hanging bridges. The hummers were just great and we saw so many varieties--could have stayed for a hour. The hanging bridges do require a lot of steps to get to... More

Spent a couple of hours doing the hanging bridges, which were fun as you can look down on the canopy. The hummingbird garden wasn't as good as the one at the national park reserve in my opinion, especially because there were a huge number of wasps/bees and I was totally freaked out the whole time. Also, the herpetarium wasn't great...the... More

We enjoyed walking the bridges through the treetops, but we did not see any wildlife. A guided tour - which they did not offer - would have revealed more wildlife.

From what I can tell, there is nothing else that compares to Selvetura in Monteverde, especially if you're heading out to the park for the cloud bridges (Selvetura has the most bridges in the area). There are 8 bridges in total and for a pretty reasonable price you can reach them all along a well-kept gravel path that takes about... More

I just wish they will tell you ahead of time that there is lots of walking and climbing between the lines. You need to be in shape for these hikes. BUT - what a rush. I was ready to do it again but it was too late in the day. We did walk the bridges after that but this was... More

Don't miss it, one of the best in Costa Rica, very long, 18 platforms including a Tarzan swing. Longest stretch 1000 m! Nice staff for the fearful guests (Tony, Daniel and Christian helped a lot)

This experience was just wonderful! I booked the visit with our tour operator whilst in Monteverde and our group was picked up at the hotel for our trip. The young men were so good in making sure that the experience was truly a great and memorable one. I was quite apprehensive but determined to give it a go and I... More

This place was full of tourists. The bridges were metal and not the traditional rope kind that I like. Seeing the rainforest from that high angle was cool, though. However, I do not believe it was worth $25 per person.
