I love their batidos! you must try the strawberry it is AWESOME! We also tried one of their breakfast and once again it was awesome and only 900 colones (almost $2). The people are nice and worth the trip. YUMMY!

The products from this factory are sold throughout the area in Costa Rica. Buy some cheese and try some local ice cream, it's amazing!

There is nothing like ice cream freshly made. There is a small window where you can see the cheese being made, but the ice cream is a must - lots of flavours.

We did the 3PM tour. We didn't get to see the cheesemaking process because they were cleaning up by the time we got to the cheese making factory. We got to taste various cheeses which was nice. Choose the AM tour if you like to see the cheese making process.

we enjoyed an ice cream cone here and took a look at the cheeses, but decided that we would just buy cheese at the grocery store. WRONG! They only carried one cheese at the grocery store and at the factory they have so many different options.

We stopped briefly and bought some cheese. Also took a picture of the men making the cheese. We were fortunate to hear an 89-year old man tell the story of the Quakers from Alabama who settled the area in 1951. He was one of the original 44 settlers.

Signed up for a pretty expensive tour. Was given in English and Spanish however was mostly Spanish. Was clear they were getting more info. Did NOT see any cheese being made. Walked through there offices and then spent an hour watching a PowerPoint...not an enjoyable expierence at all. The food is great but avoid the tour

This was a very interesting tour led by a woman who grew up in the area and is very involved with the cheese factory. We went on a Saturday, so did not get to see the actual cheese making, but the information was very interesting. There is a very well done slide show of the history and great cheese tasting....
