Carlos really knows his business and was very helpful in directing to places based on our interests. He really took the time to understand what we wanted and all of his recommendations were spot on. We hired a birding guide and went to several restaurants he recommended that serve local vegetarian food.

Nothing new that you couldn't find while stopping at any of the shops. Lots of brochures for expensive excursions... The front desk was not as helpful while we were there... Could have been timing.

The young man working the welcome center gave us excellent advice throughout our stay in Monteverde, with everything from restaurant recommendations, directions to the bank, to which road to take to Puntarenas. His English was impeccable. It was great to find a true information center that wasn't affiliated with a particular business.
