In the interest of full disclosure, I was a bit reluctant to go to a "Souvenier Woodshop" but my wife insisted. I AM SO GLAD SHE DID! We went to Rosewood Souvenier and it was the best experience that we could have ever had. Lecho and Denise (owners) were so nice and treated us just like family. Lecho makes some of the most magnificant wood pieces you will ever see (bowels, decorations, candle holders, etc) and Denise makes jewlery out of magazines that are to die for.... More

We went to this rosewood store near Santa Elena to buy a gift for the people taking care of our house. The kids didn't come along. Boy, did they miss out! We visited Souvenir Rosewood in February 2011, and enjoyed meeting Jose and Danis and seeing the wonderful woodturnings that Jose produces. The visit has lots of dimensions -- the display room with lovely gift ideas, the gardens with Orchids and even a sloth, and Jose's workshop.
