This tour was totally worth it. Unlike other coffee tours, this one covers coffee, chocolate and sugar cane. In addition, we were told that this tour most often sees wildlife, and that was true for us. (We saw two sleeping sloths, and a mot-mot bird.) The tour was well-done and informative, and we came home with some sugar we had... More

First a little reluctant for this tour, we finally had a very good time. The guide was very nice, funny and interesting. We learned a lot about coffee, sugar and cacao, but also about the nature around us. We even had the chance to see a sloth :) We had enough time to ask every question we had and to... More

This tour had something for everyone in the family. Although the younger kids had a couple moments of being bored learning about coffee, they sure perked up at the cocoa and candy making parts! They also loved the coffee machinery and chewing sugar cane straight. Seeing a sloth active was a huge stroke of luck, and we also had a... More

Besides learning about sugar cane, coffee, and chocolate production, our guide was also great at pointing out the birds we encountered along our tour. My kids (12, 15) were surprised they were allowed to try the guara (sugar cane liquor) and I suspect neither of them will be tempted to try liquor again for a very long time. :-) They... More

We were a little hesitant to go on this tour, as we thought the price was quite high, but I was glad we did. We were picked up from and dropped back to our hotel. Our guide was great, she was patient and very informative but didn't waffle on. We got to try coffee, sugar cane and chocolate at every... More

This tour was great! The guide was knowledgeable and willing to answer any question. We never felt rushed during the 2+ hours. We paused to see sloths, got to try cocoa and sugar cane at different phases of their preparation. This tour is very hands-on (and mouth-on)! :)

Our guide was fun, entertaining, and knew what he was talking about. We were able to learn the whole process of coffee making, chocolate making, and the process of making sugar. Free samples along the way, too!

This was a great tour! The ages in our group ranged from 7 to 55 and everyone seemed to have a good time. You will be outside most of the time walking from place to place around the farm, but the walking is not difficult. The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable, and the interactive format kept everyone interested.

You start your tour viewing the process for making coffee... from seedling to finished product. You then move on to CHOCOLATE. taste along the entire process to truly appreciate the final product... CHOCOLATE. see the final grinding process, taste the difference between chocolate with powdered sugar, and the same with milk added. And then take a shot of sugar cane... More
