The tour was developed in an environment that stands out as one of the best in our culture and tradition; a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it includes typical snacks and the option of an authentic home-made lunch. « less

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this! Our guide Jairo was so interested in the coffee, sugar cane, and chocolate he talked about and it rubbed off on all of us! We got to taste loads of great things and learn a ton along the way! And, we even got to meet Don Juan himself! This is a great tour... More

Jairo was an awesome guide, very informative... Not 'touristy', but rather fact filled and eye opening...

The tour was very interesting and our guide (I think his name was Junior) was good. We love coffee and after the tour we feel we really know more about it. They let you taste all kinds of coffee, and also the short chocolate part is fun.

you should be aware of that in costa rica is everything very expensive. so the 30 US were ok. It lasted for almost 2 hours and you get to know a lot about coffee, sugar cane and chocolate. you can try everything. our guide was very funny and I enjoyed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Don Juan coffee plantation. We were picked up at our hotel, driven to the plantation, met by our guide and toured the site. We learned about production of coffee, chocolate and sugar cane. We tasted samples and participated in demonstrations. A personal highlight was meeting the owner - Don Juan.

My son is a coffee fanatic and I enjoy wildlife, so we booked a night tour of the Don Juan plantation. It was a damp night in the Monteverde area, but the guides' enthusiasm was unaffected. Junior presented so much information about coffee history, beans and processing that my son and I both are now much more selective about the... More

I love coffee. However, I thought I knew coffee, but I did not. While in visiting Monteverde in Costa Rica i decided to take a tour of a coffee plantation. However, I never thought I would meet Don Juan. Over the next two hours, I learned so much about coffee, I know which is the best for me....

I know the title is silly, but it is hard work trying to sound cutesy! Now to the review: We wanted a different coffee plantation tour suggested by our hotel, but it was not available on Sundays. I was not disappointed by this tour because I felt I came away with more information than simply coffee growing. We were fortunate... More

We got to meet Don Juan himself. What a distinguished little man! I wish I could remember our guides name because he was FANTASTIC! He was funny and informative. We got to ride in an ox cart and learned all about growing and processing coffee, chocolate and sugar cane. The drink he made out of juiced sugar cane, ginger, and... More
