This is easily one of the best butterfly gardens that we have ever seen. Lots of blue morphos but other butterflies as well. The entrance to this attraction is across from the Si Como No on a busy road, but the butterflies and animal park sections are well recessed from the road so that you do not hear any traffic.... We visited the butterfly garden one morning during our stay at hotel. One of the best we've visited! We also booked a tour of Manuel Antonio park. Viviana was lovely and knowledgable and spoke English well. The kids really enjoyed her.

We took the night tour of the rainforest and it was really interesting. Our guide, Henry, was really knowledgable. We got to see many Costa Rican red eyed tree frogs, banana spiders, taranchulas, whip scorpions, rain frog, and saw two small tree snakes among other critters. A two hour tour, really worth it. Plus you can go back the next... More

Our tour guide (Ingrid?) was very knowledgeable and took us through the reserve even though it was just me and my husband. It was bigger than it seemed (the surrounding forest masks its size), and they have lots of space for the reptiles and for the butterfly garden. There was even relaxing music playing in the background. If you like... More

Party on 11 from young kids to adults age 72. This was a family vacation. We did this as a self guided tour through Gate 1 Travel. They highly recommended the hotel and we agree with their choice. 😉. Roger at the front desk helped us not only with hotel requirements he also made recommendations on various outings. Great Staff... More

We went here twice during our stay - once by day to visit the butterfly enclosure, which is amazing and even better than other ones I've seen in three other places. Lots of Blue Morphos, and they landed on us for several minutes which was a really neat experience. The reptile enclosure was less great- felt more like a zoo,... More

The Wildlife Refuge at Si Como No was packed with sights and sounds that were explained by our awesome tour guide, Cesar. He was as passionate about the environment as we are and he was super knowledgeable. Sometimes as excited as we were, or as the 10 year old boy in our group, Cesar shone a light on all of... More

Lovely hotel - fabulous views of the beach/ocean. Rooms are big and spacious. Hotel is beautifully laid out. The Rico Tico bar has delicious Mexican food - make sure to order the Banana Flambe. Also, loved that the kids pool has a swim up bar for the parents! Make sure to order the Monkey Business alchohlic drink for you and... More

Cesar was a terrific and knowledgeable guide on our night tour. The refuge is located right across the street from Hotel Si Como No, so very convenient if you are staying at the resort. The highlight for all of us was when Cesar reached into the bushes and came out with a vine snake, which he then handed to my... More

This was not on our agenda but ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. We had Caesar as a tour guide. He was very educated and passionate about the eco system of Costa Rica! He had a great sense of humor but taught us so many things. Our tour consisted of a jeep ride... More
