My experience at Academia De Espanol D'Amore far exceded my expectations. I spent 1 month studying at the school in January 2014. The location is situated perfectly central in town in Manuel Antonio with amazing views of the ocean directly from the classroom! David, the director of the school and all of the staff are 100% dedicated to optimizing your... More

I spent two weeks at the Academia de Español D'Amore in January 2014. This was my first formal Spanish training since university many years ago. Each day, I spent four hours in a formal classroom setting. The classes were small (3-5 students) and adapted to our comprehension levels. Our instructor, Keilyn, is an excellent teacher and while she is very... More

I´ve had a great time at this spanish immersion program that has become one of my favorite places on earth. This is actually my second 3 week sesson here and both times I have felt that I learned more in 3 weeks than in several college semesters of spanish. The program has a very diverse range of teachers who are... More

I attended the school for one month in January while vacationing in Manuel Antonio. It is an excellent program and I found the teachers and staff to be very competent in the classroom and always caring about the students. Formal classes were 4 hours daily followed by a one-hour conversation class where students could practice using what they had learned.... More

These guys have got it right. Highly trained instructors very patiently resurrected my old language skills to the point that a month later I was helping sell real estate by translating for buyers and sellers! The program works obviously! The staff are such wonderful, kind, and patient people with a real passion for Spanish Education and Costa Rica! I look... More

My son and fellow high school classmates spent 2 weeks here - what an incredible experience! The teachers and owner (David) made sure each was in the appropriate class for their knowledge of the language. Group activities were fun and very well planned out - nice additions to the classroom experience. The "host family" he stayed with encouraged him to... More

FIrst, attend a class, or two before you pay anything. Go to the conversation class too. If you like it, pay the big bucks for the shortest period you can, knowing there is no refund if it turns south on you. Some teachers are great. Beginners, be careful. You might be immersed with the teacher and no one else. That... More
