Our group of 9 took this tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide Che was a fount of interesting trivia about the jungle and 60's music.Oscar was the lead horse and was very patient about getting us set up on our horses. They were very sure-footed and you never had to worry that you were going to make a misstep.... Our family enjoyed a hoseback riding tour with Finca Valmy. The horses are very well taken care of, which can't be said for very many horseback tours in the area (that we know of). The ride up and back a gentle riverbed was well suited to our group that included kids (aged 10 and 12) as well as first time... More

Oscar and Che were great guides. Che was able to tell us about the flora and birds we spotted. The trip started with a walk along a stream which took us to a picturesque waterfall and pool. Lunch was delicious. I got to see a Toucan while eating lunch outside on their patio! I would definitely recommend this adventure! It... More

We recently produced an educational documentary about the area and were lucky enough to include Finca Valmy are part of the show. The ride is relaxed and safe, the horses are very familiar with the area and it shows. You get taken along a riverbed, beside and through the water, right into the heart of primary rain forest to enjoy... More

Che and the folks at Valmy were just great. I am temporarily disabled and everyone went out of their way to make it possible for me to enjoy a beautiful ride with my family. The midpoint of the ride was a lovely waterfall where my daughters got to do a little swimming. Lunch was tasty as well. Thanks for a... More

My husband and I live here in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica and own a vacation rental/charter boat business vrbo.com218131. We also own horses of our own...so we consider ourselves experienced horseman. We were invited to try Valmy so as to see for ourselves if we wanted to include this tour for our business. We made our arrangements through Che who... More

My husband, two sons (ages 14 and 21), and I had a very enjoyable experience with Finca Valmy Tours. The horses were beautiful, healthy, well-cared for, and very easy to ride. Our guide, Che, was professional, informative and entertaining. Our trail ride took us through beautiful rainforest, to a natural waterfall and swimming hole, where everyone enjoyed a refreshing swim.... More

The ride to the farm was in a junky, old van. The driver picked up and dropped off locals along the way. Our guide cussed and criticized my parenting skills. Apparently, I'm too protective of my children (in his opinion). On the bright side, the horses were wonderful and the ride was relaxing and beautiful. The woman who ran the... More

...to the point where we never even went on our excursion. I confirmed via email weeks ago and was supposed to be picked up for the tour this morning. It never happened. I tried to confirm again yesterday and also did not receive a response. Very disappointing.

Che and his team were our first adventure on our recent trip. The horses were well taken care of and perfect for me who had little experience riding. We learned a lot about the plants and animals seeing armies of ants, poisonous frog and a charming waterfall. The highlight of the trip was the meal shared in the beautiful environment... More
