We visited in December 2014 and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Randall, was amazing. He related well to both the wildlife and to the people in our group. We really enjoyed seeing amphibians and butterflies UP CLOSE and personal! Great time.

Great little place tucked away in Jaco. We walked from our hotel to check it out for an hour, and ended up having a great time! The giude (Randal?) was super knowledgable, and a great entertainer for our 5 year old son. We saw all kinds of frogs and snakes, and got super close without ever feeling exposed or in... More

Lots to discover at Neo fauna. Easy to find with clear signage on the road. Snakes, colorful frogs, butterflies and others to see. But the main thing is the tour and the explanations of the very knowledgeable guide. A very good time there.

with the snakes, frogs, raccoon, parotts, butterfly's, Caesar the monkey, & the dog. We got a taxi here from our hotel in Jaco, it was just 10 minutes away by car & cost around 8000 CRC return journey. Entrance fee was 10000 CRC per person & well worth the money, we enjoyed it so much more than Manuel Antonio National... More

So much wildlife that you not only get to see but also hold! There was such a variety. The gentleman who worked there that gave us the tour was knowledgeable and personable. We had such a great time and we are so happy we stumbled onto this place. Highly recommend.

This little preserve is more about the wildlife than the visitors. Very knowledgeable guide and lots of chances to hold snakes, see turtles, watch butterflies. No big showy animals, though I suspect that varies from season to season.

We paid $20 per adult and $10 per child. The tour was very informative and our guide did a great job. The place is very rustic so don't expect the Columbus Zoo but for a interesting interaction with snakes, monkeys, insects and butterflies you cant go beat it.

If this place is what it claims to be then I love it. A rehabilitation center for orphaned or injured creatures, with a butterfly greenhouse to boot. The guide was so friendly and was great with everyone. Met a baby monkey, Cesar, who is to be released when he's ready. Saw about 6 super poisonous snakes and a few frogs.... More

It was great to learn about the local wildlife and know who to call when you need snake extraction! Thanks Josemar! You were awesome! You too Cesar!
