Since 1998 Kayak Jaco has been introducing travelers to the joy of getting out on the water of the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The coastline is spectacular and the beaches are pristine. Our sea kayaks, outrigger canoes, stand up paddle boards and sailboat are the best way to enjoy these coastal waters. We don't pollute or disrupt the balance of nature; we just paddle through our small slice of it, not leaving a trace. If you seek "Fun on the Water" Kayak Jaco has the tour for you:• Independent folks love our kayaks• Groups and clubs are fascinated by our unique outrigger canoes• Those who are serious about kicking back adore our sailboat• People looking for exercise can try SUP. Snorkeling is included on these tours (when conditions permit) and it enables you to get even closer to the best that Costa Rica has to offer - it's nature. Since 1998, Kayak Jaco has been running safe, sustainable, enjoyable tours and we strive everyday to ensure that your trip will be a wonderful Costa Rica memory for years to come.

Sailing with Captain Neal was better than I could have imagined. The surf was rough, but he brought us to a great location where we still were able to swim with plenty of gorgeous fish including a puffer and sea turtle. We had a great snack of cheese and fruit and sailed away. Then our dream came true when 6... More

We rented kayaks one day and the Ashuma trimaran another day and both trips were excellent!! The equipment & gear is all in immaculate condition, the guides (Neil, Leo, & Wilbur) were knowledgeable and friendly, and all the communications & reservations with Jasmin were professional and prompt. We are so grateful we found Kayak Jaco and that they were part... More

So glad you had a great time on your outings with Kayak Jaco. I know I enjoyed the sailing tour. I just wanted to let the readers of "Trip Advisor" know that you enjoyed our guided 1/2 day sea kayak tour and that we don't rent our kayaks or the sailboat Ashuma. The title of your review might be confusing.... More

We spent a couple of hours with our guides. Started out at their facility where we were given the option of single/double kayaks or outrigger canoes. We all opted for the single kayaks. The guides brought our canoes down to the beach while we received a short lesson on paddling and then walked to the beach. We paddled for about... More

Our family loved this experience. Very authentic, located in a forest near the Pacific Ocean. Leonardo and Jacob were extremely friendly and competent. My 7 year-old son felt very comfortable kayaking with Jacob amidst the waves. We had a good fruit snack on a beach and swim at the half-way point. They also sell cool UV protection shirts.

Our sail boat adventure on the Ashuma was perfect. Duration, we have young children so the three hour excursion was perfect. Safety, Capt Neil explained everything perfectly clear, we felt very safe. Adventure, did some snorkeling, the equipment was perfect (clean and in great condition). Food and drinks, the perfect amount and delicious. The best family activity in Jaco CR.... More

My family and I were looking for a relaxing way to see some of the beaches around the island. Kayak Jaco was the outfit we ended up booking. It was an awesome trip. We got to snorkel, eat lunch overlooking a picturesque beach, and even caught some nice wind on the sail home. As an added bonus the captain let... More

Neil is great, the boat is really comfortable and you will enjoy this private, relaxing experience. Snorkeling is dependent on tide, weather and surf conditions but the sailing will always be great. Good food, good drinks and good conversation. Would definitely do this again.

After researching TA reviews for catamaraning, sailing, snorkeling, I went with Kayak Jaco and very happy. From my first e-mail, Neil was excellent in communicating - his response time was usually immediately if not, at least within 24 hours. Pros: - Private 3 Hour Sailing, Snorkeling Tour - Service - excellent - Neil was great in communicating where to meet,... More

The guide gave skillful instruction to keep us safe, he was able to point out interesting facts about the shore and could identify the birds we saw. While snorkelling he caught several fish for us to observe up close. For read my blog about this experience go to: https://marilynontheroad.wordpress.com/2015/03/07/kayaked-with-an-ocean-turtle/
