Great guide and wonderful overview of this park and the research being conducted there. The insect, butterfly, snake and frog displays allow you to see real rainforest creatures.

I was with a container ship in port Moine and I took advantage to visit it.It a nice place, the guide was very professional.Only bad thing is the road from Limon to the park, which took about 2 and a half hours, because there are many trucks and only a 2way road.

It's not a rain forest for nothing, and by the time we'd visited the excellent exhibitions and seen examples of the wildlife, the conservation work being done, the butterfly house and visited the only toilets I've so far encountered with panoramic views from the spotlessly-clean urinals, we were ready to start our trek. Our visit began with the descent into... More

The Veragua Rainforest Park is very impressive. Not only is there a nice Gondola ride over the tops of the rainforest where you might even see a sloth in the trees as well as many birds and other rainforest creatures. It is lush and the air is filled with the sound of birds. The Park contains exhibit areas where a... More

visitid with princess cruise line excursion. The bus guide was very knowledgeable. At the reserve center we did the 3-hour tour where there were lots of paths and nature to see. They have a bit of a small zoo/nature thing going on where some of the hardest to see critters are on display. Some examples are a butterfly enclosure, nocturnal... More

The rainforest was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable about the surrounding flora and animals. I agree with a previous review that you definitely need to take sunscreen and bug repellent along! We saw this as part of a larger excursion with a cruise group. Would recommend.

Spent a wonderful day learning in detail about the wild animals living in the rainforest. The guided tour was most informative and well organized. The views are spectacular. It's better to wear sneakers and insect repellant.

So much to see and learn about here. We were impressed with the formal exhibits as well as the sheer beauty of hiking in nature. Take advantage of it all for the best experience.
