The tram crew was nonchalant, and not that attentive, although the guide was quite good. The staff in the reptile bldg with flashlights seemed preoccupied. However, to be up close in a rainforest was amazing. My first view of army ants in formation! One sloth sighting. One monkey I think. Loads of birds. Gorgeous plants. The butterfly garden was fun... Verangua is a beautiful area and worth visiting if you are in the area. Super plants but you need to look close to see much wildlife. We saw very pretty birds but nothing on the ground.

We booked this tour when we walked off the Celebrity Equinox. We thought this was a canopy tram tour. The tram ride was a very short ride to a lower level. It was very interesting walking through the jungle and noting the different frogs and insects. Unfortunaly, our friend was stung by a bullet ant while holding onto the railing... More

We made a big effort to get to the rainforest to see the animals. We travelled well over an hour by taxi and didn't see a single animal or bird. While I realise it is a natural habit and you can't predict what animals do it was really a sad day for us. Great facilities and friendly guides but pricey... More

After a pleasant ride from our ship in Puerto Limon we entered the rainforest. We saw a strawberry tree frog, sloths, butterflies and other interesting flowers (including the main ingredient for Chanel #5 - wish I could remember the name....) as we drove up thru the forest to our departure point for the zip line. It was billed as the... More

We visited Veragua Rainforest Park with an excursion from our ship. Inside we visited the nocturnal exhibit and the butterfly farm. They were both fascinating and the guides were very knowledgeable. If you have more time, you definitely need to experience the other activities the park has to offer. Bring a raincoat and/or hat. We got there the weather was... More

Took an excursion thru Eco Adventure to Veragua Rainforest. The guide, Andrew, was excellent! Rainforest was wonderful! Whole experience was well done, everyone was so helpful and knew what they were doing. Definitely recommend a visit!

We visited the rainforest as an excursion through our cruise ship. It was a long drive but so worth it. Our guide was great and to see and go through the rainforest was pretty cool. Highly recommend. Saw birds, monkeys, sloths and a deadly snake (but not too close).

One of our stops last month on a 12 day cruise was Limon, Costa Rica. We picked the shore excursion through our ship that would take us to the Veragua Rainforest. Our tour guide gave us interesting information about the city and the country on the drive up into the mountains. At the rainforest entrance, we were divided into groups... More

We visited Veragua as an excursion from our Cruise Ship. it was a farily bumpy coach ride to the Park but our guide was able to poiint out a number of interesting sights on the way on on the way back incuding sloths. Our excursion included a visit to the research centre, a walk through the rainforest, a canopy ariel... More
