Unfortunately the day we visited it was raining so there wasn't much wildlife to be seen. We spent too much time waiting for other groups to pass and looking for reptiles and insects. It was not what i had expected or hoped for.

Our cruise ship docked in Limon, Costa Rica and we signed up for a trip to the Rainforest. It was a lovely day and the rainforest is very lush. A lot of different types of trees, plants, flowers and vegetation. It was a nice ride on the tram to see the view of the rainforest and the mountains. A lovely... More

Upon leaving our ship Island Princess - 20 adults 60+ in age drove in a Toyota bus 30 minutes on paved roads and 30 more minutes on unpaved roads high into the rain forest. The guide spoke Enghish well and was very knowledgeable. We arrived at the center where we were advised on the use of our gear. Each person... More

The exhibits of the reptiles, frogs, insects & butterflies are nice & the guide was great. The food was good. They also had zip lines. The road there is VERY rough to drive on, make sure you have a 4 wheel drive or go with a tour, took almost 45 minutes once you left the paved road.

Upon leaving our ship in Puerto Limon, our group of 60 passengers spent half a day in Veragua Rain Forest, on our way to San Jose. I really enjoyed the tour on the frest, tha tram ride to the bottom of the trees, among the incredible vegetation, and the explanations of the guide, who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Some people... More

We took the tour of the Veragua Rainforest including the arial tram on our day in port at Puerto Limon in December 2014. The trip to the rainforest from the port took about an hour on the tour bus. When we arrived at Veragua, it was literally pouring rain. We were quickly told by our guide for the day that... More
