You are looking at 90$US for a familly of four to visit this place. In return, you will see baby sloths very close and get very detailed explanations about how they live. The 55 min. tour is followed by a boat tour. I feel that I did not get enough for the money paid. Although all the money goes towards... More

I was super excited to be able to book the tour. The max is 6 persons so book in advance. The tour started with the regular group, then we had lunch with buttercup, then we went on an hour long canoe ride (we seen caman baby howler monkeys and other flora/fauna. Then the best part was when we got to... More

I learned so much about sloths during my visit to the sanctuary that I didn't know before. The people who work there and the volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have always loved sloths and to see one them close was incredible. The only drawback, and it is a big one, is that you cannot touch a sloth.

We did the insiders tour so I can't speak to the regular tour. My daughters really enjoyed the boat ride part of e tour. The sloths were cute and we learned lots about their biology. The tour really was expensive for what you get. Lunch was pretty disappointing for the price. Would I recommend to others ? Sure, if you... More

We have always wanted to see the sloths at the sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica and we were able to fulfil that dream this year. I commend the sanctuary in helping these creatures and getting to know more about them was simply fascinating. The tour of the sanctuary was informative and we were able to see both the baby and... We did not really appreciate the visit and the place itself. We did not learn a lot during the visit, which was pretty expensive by the way. I do not know much about sloths but the conditions in which they live in this sanctuary seem to be far from good. The sloths we saw were kept in small spaces with... More

Our tour started with a lovely and peaceful boat ride on the river, by which the sanctuary is located. It was really well worth it, we saw even a small crocodile, many bird species, and just enjoyed the overall atmosphere. Then the tour of the sloth sanctuary started. Four permanent resident sloths were hold in fairly unnatural enclosures. As a... More

My husband and I visited with some friends before our wedding. We stayed at the bed and breakfast here and loved every second of it! We did the insider tour and it was totally worth the money! We learned so much and were able to hold and visit with the sloths, visit their medical center, nursery and tour the grounds.... More

This place is all about churning tourists, getting your money to help themselves not the sloths. You will see here very cute baby sloths and a couple of adults but what you will not see are the rows of small metal cages which house 3-4 stressed and bored sloths. Sloths are solitary animals not social. They are fed dog food,... More

After years of dreaming of visiting I finally got to do it. The staff were incredible, so informative and helpful. The canoe ride was great, the guides certainly knew what to look out for and made sure everyone got a chance to see the wildlife. But come on, it was really all about the sloths. So many sloths. So beautiful.... More
