I went a week ago and it was great having the chance to be so close to these incredible animals. I was a fan of the TV show that came out a few years back and to be able to see some of the sloths that were on TV being cared for was great. However I do feel that the... More

We began our tour with a boat ride through the rainforest where our boat guide Oscar pointed out several animals such as, a caymen, a sloth, termite nest, bats, and crabs. We did not see any snakes or monkeys that day, though they are there. You could hear the howler monkeys loud and clear though. Afterwards, we had a tour... More

Such a great visit. We did the basic $30/person tour. Got to meet some awesome 2-and-3-fingered sloths. Carlos, our guide, was wonderful.

We had been wanting to see the sanctuary ever since seeing the baby sloths on a television program last year. We were not disappointed. The tour starts with a boat ride along a river surrounding jungle spotting wildlife, including wild sloths, racoons, bats, lizards & a brilliant variety of bird life. The next part is some of the older inhabitants... More

There are many types of sloths and they are very sweet to watch. The place was quite large with opportunity to see many sloths and get very close to them. I love animals and enjoyed my visit to Aviarios.

Although you may see sloths high up in the trees in Costa Rica, at the Sloth Sanctuary you will be able to see them up close. As soon as you go to the cashier to buy your ticket, you will see Buttercup, one of the resident sloths. After that, you will go on a tour where you meet several more... More

The tour was really informative and it was great to see the babies in the nursey. The highlight for me was seeing Princess Buttercup in her basket in the waiting area. I feel that there could be more to the tour (even though it is advertised as the shorter tour) but give the place a rating of 4 because I... More

Make sure to book the Insider's tour. They take you EVERYWHERE in their sanctuary. Nothing is restricted when you buy this tour and you are able to see every single sloth that they have. I was surprised that they let you see the baby sloths and other places that would otherwise be closed to the public. If you are going,... More

You are looking at 90$US for a familly of four to visit this place. In return, you will see baby sloths very close and get very detailed explanations about how they live. The 55 min. tour is followed by a boat tour. I feel that I did not get enough for the money paid. Although all the money goes towards... More

I was super excited to be able to book the tour. The max is 6 persons so book in advance. The tour started with the regular group, then we had lunch with buttercup, then we went on an hour long canoe ride (we seen caman baby howler monkeys and other flora/fauna. Then the best part was when we got to... More
