Enjoyed a great day walking through the waterfalls. The path between each waterfall will get you as close as you would want to be. The quality of the access areas is high quality and I was very impressed. The cost of entrance to the park is a bit pricy and the rest of the attractions are also great, some are... More

From prior reviews, we were not surprised to see the animals confined as in a zoo. The park was beautiful with the magnificant waterfalls and the hiking was outstanding. Having your picture taken with a toucan on your sholder is definitely the tourist thing to do. The buffet lunch was good and we went back when we returned from the... More

Recommended to us by our son-in-law (http://www.getrealtravels.com/) who does tours all over Central America. Great way to spend the day! A little spendy but well worth the price. Great buffet lunch provides a nice break to the day. Coatis come and go in the trees right by the dining area. Also saw my first wild racoons at this place. Got... More

This is a beautiful park and my second time visiting here. I think the highlights are the hummingbird garden, the butterfly garden, seeing the baby cubs, and being able to hold a toucan. The architecture of even the stair railes is gorgeous. The buffet is wonderful. I had tipped one of the employees in the care and he went out... More

I went to La Paz Waterfall Gardens because of the good reviews and close proximity to Poas Volcano. It exceeded my expectations and the reviews I read. The gardens were beautiful. They practically have a full zoo, if not the best zoo in Costa Rica. The variety of bird and animal life was tremendous. Being able to go into the... More

We visit there today for 4 hours. We manage to go to the waterfall and although it's not an easy walk it worth it. Than we visited the gardens and the animals. It is kind of zoo but you don't really feel it. The guides are very helpful and especially with the Tucan and the frogs. For those looking for... More

It's a zoo, so you see lots of animals, and don't have to work hard for that. Which makes it perfect for young kids. And, I must say, it's done very very nicely - the grounds and exhibits are beautiful, the staff very welcoming and speaks great English. It also seems that the buffet is a good deal, but we... More
