Second time here. Went in the spring but couldnt get enough. Its not cheap $54 fir an adult including lunch. $13 i think for lunch buffet. Toucans sit on your arm u feed them. Butterflys that are tiny or huge great colors. Scenery is great. Hummingbirds of all types. Yeah....i would pass up going to poas volcano to go here.

The whole walking tour is on paved paths but they don't obstruct the views. Interaction with the birds is fun. (some of the birds are a bit playful.) The exhibits are interactive and well done and well maintained. The waterfalls are incredible! The restaurant in the middle of the park is a great place to get refreshed. Parrots, monkeys, butterflies... More

Visited this place and was excited to see the reviews and pictures online. They don't really tell you that you literally walk into paradise once you step foot here. The trip up there is lovely, the view is breathtaking and once you are there there is so much green, gigantic leaves, gorgeous flowers and 3 sets of falls that you... More

I'm moving to Costa Rica, and being as outdoorsy as I am, during my first month-long preparation trip in the country I was anxious to get as much as adventure and sights as possible. So in my first wekeend, aided by a groupon-like coupon, I was able to experience these 'gardens'. This is one of the closest attractions to San... More

I cannot begin to describe the beauty encountered on this tour. We paid to join ' expediciones tropicales' day tour from San Jose and visited this natural beauty. This tour is simply out of this world! Prior to seeing the waterfalls, you walk through a wildlife sanctuary and have the opportunity to see Jaguars, toucans, butterflies, birds, exotic frogs and... This is an amazing one day tour. Great cloud forest views and animals such as: jaguars, monkeys, snakes, birds and a beautiful butterfly dome. Walking by the river path is a must. You will see a breath-taking view of three waterfalls. When you finish your river ride the restaurant will be waiting for you with good prices and excellent food.

We had a great time at La Paz waterfall gardens. We arranged a private tour through the TAM tourist office at the Marriott Costa Rica, and were lucky enough to land Jorge. He picked us up and gave us an incredible history on the one hour ride to the waterfall park. Once there, we were pleasantly surprised by the facility.... More

This was a great tour of the waterfalls, Wildlife refuge, and Aviary / Butterfly Observatory. The waterfall walk was wonderful. There are many different waterfalls and the views are gorgeous. There are many excellent photo ops. Bring a parka and a protector for your camera - you're going to get wet. The tour guide gave us as much or as... More

We went with friends and had a wonderful time. We had bitterly lnd on us, saw beautiful native birds, snacks, frogs, and ocelots, puma, and jaguar. There were howler monkeys and white face mask monkeys. There are beautiful waterfalls and gardens and had lunch in the gardens. Be aware there are lots of steps and steep inclines.
