This is a really beautiful place to visit! You have the bird area, humming bird area where they fly freely all around you, many different areas to see, from animals to plants. Along the way you have a restaurant where you can rest and eat and recharge for a while. You finish the visit looking at the beautiful waterfalls. Take... More

Even beeing very much "touristic", this place is so good for Eco-experiences: waterfalls, buterfly, bird, jungle animals observation along with perfect hiking. Jus be aware, that trail to waterfalls has a lot of steps and might be slippery - bring reliable shoes!

After visiting the Poas Volcano we visit this park. There were a lot of areas with wild animals but not in the wild! Only some birds like colibris. But the trail along the 3 La Paz waterfalls is very nice, with excellent views of the valley and the river.

We used Expediciones Tropicales for our tour and we loved it! (We did a combo tour with DOka Coffee and Poas Volcano.) We had a lovely lunch and our guide walked us through the whole beautiful place talking to us about the animals. Holding the bird was the highlight of my son's whole trip. Then we had time to explore... More

The whole experience was excellent at La Paz. We did the waterfalls, toured through all of the animals and had an amazing time. The facilities were clean and very well maintained and I was very happy with the place. We were able to walk through the butterfly gardens, see monkeys, hold toucans; it was just amazing. It was fun for... More

Great place with so much different stuff packed in. i thought we were just going to walk to some waterfalls, but instead it has everything. First we saw birds that would land on you, then monkeys in cages. then there was I think a snake display, and then we ate lunch, and finally hike up the waterfalls with great views,... More

The waterfall gardens was the last stop on a day tour my husband and I took. It was well worth the time and money. They have many animals that have been rescued as well as humming birds and butterflies. The buffet was delicious and there is something for everyone. There are also three beautiful waterfalls.

While I was disappointed when we first arrived to discover that many of the birds at La Paz are caged, the wild hummingbird and butterfly gardens were well worth the arduous journey up the mountain. I think we were lucky to arrive shortly after heavy rain when the crowds were thinning, toward the end of the day. We were hoping... More

We went with our kids: 9,9 and 7 and ended up spending most of the day at La Paz. The kids particularly enjoyed holding the toucans and getting close to the hummingbirds. Seeing the big cats being fed was also a highlight. However, the waterfalls had to be the best bit...there were a number of different ones all accessed by... More
