Our group of four adults all enjoyed walking around this attraction for a couple of hours. Saw some beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife up close and personal. The walk to the waterfalls is well worth it - they're beautiful! Some of the wildlife you can interact with (touch) under close supervision including a really large snake! It's a good... More

We really enjoyed this beautifully constructed place where you see an aviary, a butterfly habitat, waterfalls, frogs, snakes, etc. We went on Saturday and it was very crowded, but still enjoyable. I was not as happy with the monkey and cat enclosures, which felt too much like a regular zoo, but overall this is a place to up close and... More

Once you walk the grounds and visit the aviary house, frogs, monkeys, cats, etc you can make your way through the highlight of this stop, the waterfall trail! There are many waterfalls and photo vantage points. They are beautiful and worth the trip. Bring your rain coat. You often get close enough to get soaked from the spray of the... More

Very natural, but safe experience walking next to the waterfall. Lots of viewpoints all the way down, and a shuttle service to bring you back to the top. The setting is gorgeous, and parts of the path are practically suspended off of the cliff while also feeling very much a part of the natural landscape. All 4 of us loved... More

If you only have time to do one thing a day at La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a must. Just a few minutes from Poas Volcano. Skip Poas and head straight to La Paz--magical, all the animals of Costa Rica, all the birds, a butterfly cage that is 2 stories of more butterflies than you will ever see, frogs, hundred... More

We've brought our family here twice-- we just can't get enough of the lovely grounds and deluxe accommodations. Fantastic, personalized service. Don't miss the hummingbird and toucan feedings-- you've never been so close! The waterfall hike is easy yet stunning.

It may not be a culinary experience, but the self-service restaurant of the Waterfall Gardens is a place top remember. The variety of dishes, freshly cooked, can appeal to any public. Particularly children are enjoying all the "goodies". And then: take your time to visit the various attractions, fauna and flora, of these beautiful grounds. Worthwhile your time and money!

I drove up to the park from San Jose - not a long drive but you do go up some very wet, windy roads. GPS went out on me half way up so don't rely on one without backup directions. The park has lots of wildlife and I'd say that's the real attraction to come here. The frog exhibit is... More
