It was really nice but felt bad for those animals in the smaller cages. We also thought it was a bit pricey

Went to the place after being at the Doka Coffe Plantation and the Poas Volcano, the park is beautiful and well preserved by the people in charge, During the walk you will see different kinds of animals, like butterflies, hummingbirds, frogs, different cats, all in the process of re adaptation after being rescued. And after lunch, then came the Waterfalls... More

We spent the day at La Paz and loved everything about it. The wildlife here is amazing. One of my favorite parts was the butterfly house - truly amazing. Then of course the main attraction is the 5 waterfalls which were nothing short of spectacular. This is a great place for families or couples. The buffet lunch was wonderful too.... More

My wife and I were staying in San Jose on the first day of our honeymoon and decided to take a drive out to La Paz Waterfall Gardens. She really likes zoos and going for walks so I figured this place would be a good choice. You start there in the wildlife rescue area before heading to the waterfalls. We... More

The La Paz Waterfall Garden was the culmination of our Combo Tour with Expediciones Tropicales, which also featured the Doka Coffee Estate and Poas Volcano, a wonderful day tour. The park is beautifully maintained with a gorgeous butterfly gallery, hummingbird exhibit, ocelots and more. After a delicious buffet lunch, we walked to the magnificent trio of waterfalls, each splendid and... More

La Paz waterfall gardens were the first attraction we went to in Costa Rica and it was a great way to get acquainted with the country. There were lots of animals to see, although most of them were in cages. The hummingbird garden is very impressive. I've never seen that many hummingbirds in one place. It was really beautiful. The... My husband and visited the Waterfall Gardens on the last day of our trip in Costa Rica and it was a wonderful way to end the trip. We had been told this place was too touristy, and it was a bit, but TOTALLY worth it. My goal for our whole trip was to see as much wildlife as possible, and... More

I visited the La Paz Waterfall Gardens as part of a combo tour that also visited the Doka Coffee Plantation and Poas Volcano (more about those in other posts). This was the last of the 3 stops and it was a lovely way to end the day. You begin by walking through a number of animal habitats where you get... More
