Great place with so much different stuff packed in. i thought we were just going to walk to some waterfalls, but instead it has everything. First we saw birds that would land on you, then monkeys in cages. then there was I think a snake display, and then we ate lunch, and finally hike up the waterfalls with great views,... More

The waterfall gardens was the last stop on a day tour my husband and I took. It was well worth the time and money. They have many animals that have been rescued as well as humming birds and butterflies. The buffet was delicious and there is something for everyone. There are also three beautiful waterfalls.

While I was disappointed when we first arrived to discover that many of the birds at La Paz are caged, the wild hummingbird and butterfly gardens were well worth the arduous journey up the mountain. I think we were lucky to arrive shortly after heavy rain when the crowds were thinning, toward the end of the day. We were hoping... More

We went with our kids: 9,9 and 7 and ended up spending most of the day at La Paz. The kids particularly enjoyed holding the toucans and getting close to the hummingbirds. Seeing the big cats being fed was also a highlight. However, the waterfalls had to be the best bit...there were a number of different ones all accessed by... More

It is a little pricey for entry but there is a lot to see. We enjoyed the lunch buffet which had a lot of local cuisine. There is a butterfly garden and bird sanctuary. Also, handful of felines in small caged areas. Also monkeys, snakes, and more. You can also ride on the oxen and cart that Costa Rica is... More

We stayed down near manual Antonio but stayed the last night in San Jose so we could see the waterfalls and the volcano. It is only an hour drive and well worth it. The waterfalls are actually part of a nature center complete with a spa hotel, restaurants and wildlife exhibits. This is a must see while in Costa Rica.... More

Be ready to roam the concrete jungle and see big cats, reptiles and birds. The hummingbird area was wild. I suggest you see animals and them take lunch. Request the lunch option at Reception, it worth the extra bucks, and have lunch before going to see the falls. Lunch is great, local food, fresh and tasty. Now you're ready to... More

During our 10 day trip to Costa Rica, the trip to La Paz Waterfall Gardens was truly the highlight of the entire trip. The excursion was made especially memorable by the tour director, Olman Arce Mejia. He was very knowledgable and most engaging!! The gardens were wonderful, especially the butterflies and the hummingbirds. And the waterfalls were gorgeous!!!! If we... More

Mid-Morning Waterfall Gdns Tour was who picked us up. Orman Arce was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour was very comfortable and the Waterfalls were breathtaking. We also got to see Toucans, butterflies, cougars, monkees etc. This tour is very worthwhile. I highly recommend it. Ask for Orman-you will not be disappointed.
