after some initial problems finding the location based upon the satnav coordinates on a costa rican site, my wife and i did the tour with 2 informative and friendly guides. the tour takes you around a small coffe plantation before heading indoors for a short presentation on the art of quality control and tasting. plenty of interesting facts and information... Although not full blown plantation, this tour was extremely informative and creatively presented in both English and Spanish. There is a lot to understand in the coffee making process as well as understanding it's history. Much vegatation on the grounds so you get to see many flowers and plants as well. Worth the trip.

A most informative and entertaining introduction to the coffee growing and roasting processes. They have a great pair of talented performers. We brought home enough Britt coffee to place our bags close to the weight limit but I'm happy to see that orders can be placed online. Pura Vida.

This is actually more of a skit or play. It was raining when we visited , so everything was held indoors in a rather drab auditorium. I'm sure it is better when held outside. It is basically an actor and actress that discuss the coffee industry and present it in a humorous way. I was disapointed as I was expecting... More

The grounds of Cafe Britt are beautiful and the tour was wonderful. Tour? It was more like a little play and was very entertaining! The two main hosts/ "actors" were fantastic and really taught us a lot about coffee in Costa Rica. Their skits were fun and filled with information. We were learning a lot without even realizing it. I... More

We really got a kick out of the coffee tour and show. These guys were very funny and educational, so we learned a lot here about one of our favorite beverages. The facility was beautifully maintained and designed. Just a little hard to find on your own. Even with our GPS we had to stop and ask directions multiple times.... More

The Britt Coffee tour offers a humorous routine in their explanation of the coffee production process. They do not grow their own coffee, but rather buy it from other plantations. They do roast and package their own product however. My visit was part of a larger tour and was included in the tour package. I would have hated to have... More

This tour is not conducted on an actual working coffee plantation but a tourist site with some coffee plants around the grounds. Having said that the tour was informative and fun (although a little corny at times) with the commentary in both Spanish and English. Depending on the mix of people on the day and who asks the most questions... More

Dear visitor, Thank you for your comments. We are actually in a coffee plantation and from around December till February, more or less, we have coffee pickers in our plantation recollecting the coffee. We also buy the coffee we roast from around 2000 independent growers around the country, and roast here, at our roastery, the best Costa Rican gourmet coffee.... More

We went on the Britt Coffee tour as part of a Caravan tour, and the best advice I can give is to avoid it. They have a very superficial tour and a very silly skit before you get to the main event - the selling of their coffee and chocolate. We had a very bad experience in trying to have... More

The subject matter was very interesting---how a coffee bean gets from the plant to your cup. There were several types of coffee to sample, and they were all excellent. The gardens were beautiful. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant. Now the bad parts--the tour did not start on time. busloads trickled participants in and we had to wait till there... More
