First, this is a very informative tour, and you'll learn a lot about coffee production and roasting. It requires a minimum of walking - it's far less strenuous than other tours I've been on, and is very appropriate for small children and elderly people. There's a strong focus on entertainment throughout the tour, which I find a little cheesy, but... More

The tour guide Maria was exceptionally engaging. She made sure everyone had a good time on the tour. The history of the coffee process was well explained, even though they don't grow the coffee themselves, she explained the entire process up to when they get the beans and what they do with them after. The lunch was really enjoyable and... More

The tour was great! We learned all about the process of making coffee and participated in demonstrations. The guides were funny and very enthusiastic. The gift shop is huge and filled with samples of each type of coffee and chocolate. The issue we had was with transportation. Transportation via Britt Coffee Tour cost $17 per person and they would not... More

We went with our three children and had an excellent time. The tour guides were fantastic and funny, the grounds were lovely, we learned a lot about coffee, the coffee and chocolate samples were plentiful. We also stayed for lunch and it was the best Costa Rican style lunch we had in the two weeks we were on vacation. The... More

We were not well informed when we booked the tour and thought we would be taking a tour of a coffee plantation. This tour is actually a walk through a very small sample of a few coffee plants and then a review of coffee processing and packaging. Britt does not actually grow the coffee, they do buy the beans and... More

Dear visitor, Thank you very much for booking our tour! As you mentioned we are not coffee producers, we are gourmet coffee roasters and have been for the past 28 years. We buy our coffee from around 2000 independent growers in Costa Rica, that have environmentally friendly plantations, like the one you visited in our tour. We make our Coffee... More

Britt does not have a coffee farm. They are only roasters of coffee beans. So a lot of the production process is shown in pictures vs. seeing the real thing. Too many other real coffee tours to participate in.

Very entertaining tour of coffee from plant to our cup. I hadn't expected the show that was put on and it made it interesting and very entertaining. Lunch was very tasty and the coffee I tried and purchased is delicious. I would recommend this tour.

We went on the way to the airport. In that way the tour nicely filled the gap between leaving the hotel and boarding the plane, and the Britt people were very helpful in getting to the airport. We did not enjoy the tour very much. It was too much show for us, which we found tacky. We would have preferred... More
