When getting coffee at the Britt Coffee inside the San Jose airport. Make sure you ask for David, he makes a great latte to prepare you for the flight home. Thanks David!

I am a tour operator in Costa Rica and have found that my clients who spend time in San Jose always enjoy their vist to Cafe Britt. If you are a coffee junkie you will find this tour both enlightening as well as fun. The lunch isn't bad either and overall it is a good value for your vacation dollar.

Cafe Britt was an amazing place to tour with my husband and my three teenage sons. The whole atmosphere was warm, inviting, knowledgeable, and FUN!! We laughed and enjoyed ourselves the whole way through. The two gentlemen that lead us through the tour where amazing and very comedic. They delivered all the information first in Spanish and then in English.... More

Being a coffee drinker, I found this to be very informative and relative. It was very entertaining, especially in the theatre (my husband was actually chosen to come up on stage to play a part). The plantation is a working one, and I found the tour to be highly educational. I will always purchase Café Britt coffees through their online... More

What a fun and unexpected tour! While I was initially put off by the price ($22 for the basic coffee tour), I was absolutely thrilled with the experience. The tour is interactive and interesting. Another reviewer mentioned that it was Disney-ish, and while I do agree, I enjoyed that aspect of it. The tour moved through different areas of the... More

This tour was disappointing - far too much humour and patronization to be taken seriously. I am desperately trying to remember facts and things of interest which I retained during the 2-3 hours. They come to about three or four things! The tour group we were in was large and included singles, couples and families with young children, this in... More

Well, being a keen coffee fan, I found this tour informative non the less too much a show. it was interesting to know that Costa Rica cultivates only Arabica coffee beans and the variation of the tastes comes also from different stages of roasting. Walking through the coffee plantation with a knowledgeable guidance was great, though the "theater" part of... More

Enjoyed this trip . Only about an hour from Crowne Plaza hotel in San Jose . Not a plantation on a large scale but very informative and fun . Well laid out in lush green areas . Saw coffee plants and beans , the roastery and ended with a coffee tasting session . Bought some coffee in the Britt factory... More
