Great for beach walks but beware of the rocks !

Tamarindo beach is great for beach walks, swimming and learning how to surf, but beware of some place where there are rocks. If you keep that in mind you'll enjoy it very much :-)

From Dreamsea Surf Camp, the shuttle took us to the beach each day for beginners up to advanced lessons. The waves are always great and can range from high to low break.

Beautiful beaches frame by mountains but crowded with no peace due to the vast number of vendors pedaling junk. Tamarindo was once my favorite beach in Costa Rica but it is really no longer enjoyable.

Tamarindo Beach offers something for everyone, from surfing, to swimming, scuba diving, fishing or just taking nice strolls on the beach. Good atmosphere and vibrant little town.

Surfing lessons available, surf boards and boogie boards for rent, massages on the beach, bars and restaurants on the beach and a beautiful sunset each evening. Couldn't ask for anything more. Happy hour at Vaquero Lattitude Blue and the Ocean (2 for 1) each evening from 5-7.,

Tamarindo beach is just beautiful. The sunset is breathtaking. I've never seen such a beautiful sunset. People would stand on the beach and clap when it was over. Lots of surfing here. I'm not a surfer, so I can't say anything other than there were tons of surfers in the water and they were getting some pretty good waves. We... More

I could write for days about Tamarindo Beach and how great it is. You just need to come and check it out yourself! Lots of restaurants, surf shops, beach clubs, and places to hangout.

It is a great beach to watch surfers learning but ... be prepared to eat sand! The wind that those surfers love is not a friend to the watchers! Our sun screened bodies were coated with sand by the time we had enough. Not the most pleasant beach experience! The usual vendors were constantly approaching, the beach chairs and umbrella... More

Tamarindo Beach was in front of our condo and is a nice beach. There were a lot of student surfers but it was still a good family beach. It was some-what crowded and had many whistle bird, bowl and jewelry vendors coming around.
