For us it was just about the zip lining we did not partake in any other activities they offered, but we were able to zip line just the two of us and two guides. The first line is about 450 yards long and it has an amazing view. I felt safe and well take care of. In total we did... More

Alex picked us up just for ziplining. We went to the property. Everyone was top notch. They love what they do. Jose was wonderful. We were glad we were in a small group. Definitely great. Very close to town of tamarindo. I would go back rather than take an hour bus ride with another company with a bunch of people... More

This is by far the best zip line in the Tamarindo area that I have done. The route is spectacular with amazing views over the jungle tree tops all the way to the ocean. They even have a new rope-walk adventure course through the trees at the end where we saw a few howler monkeys. The guides are super friendly... More

We heard about Alex and Black Stallion from our hotel host - we were looking for a place to go zip lining and this is where we were referred. Beforehand I was very concerned about safety and was put completely at ease by Alex and his staff. They were super friendly, had excellent safety training and made us all feel... More

Black Stallion Ranch is more than just a place to zip line. The owner, Alex, was by far the most genuine, interesting and friendly person my girlfriend and I met while in Tamarindo. He and his friendly staff will ensure a fun and memorable experience!

A group of 9 of us came to the Black Stallion Ranch while we were having a family vacation there in Guanacaste. We did the horseback riding/zip line/BBQ combo. So much fun. We were immediately met by Alex, who made us feel at home with some drinks and snacks. After we caught some of the World Cup final, we were... More

Alex runs a eco friendly business for both adults and kids to enjoy. Start off with zip lining on 9 different platforms one which allows you to go upside down! The last zip lands you right in front of your well behaved horses that give a brisk and relaxing ride down to the base camp. The icing on the cake... More

This was a last minute addition to our busy itinerary--and we enjoyed it. Run by South-African born Alex, the operation is down-to-earth and very friendly and spans a vast and well maintained property. There is a lot more to do here than just ride, but our time was limited. It was a perfect morning outing, leaving the rest of the... More

We made a last minute reservation for horseback riding. The horses were very well behaved and the property was wonderful. The owner, Alex, was very welcoming and engaging. He is a laid back surfer, who runs a very good operation. The only downside is we saw no wildlife and the guide spoke little English. Despite the linguistic issue, our guide... More

Seven girlfriends trekked down to Costa Rica for a long weekend and birthday celebration. The Black Stallion exceeded all of our expectations. Horse back riding with wonderful views of Tamarindo and the valley, knowledgeable guides to help everyone (none of us had been zip lining before) and some of us even took one of the lines upside down! The howler... More
