What a great place! Alex is awesome - if you're looking for zip lining in the Tamarindo/Avellanas/Pinilla area, go to Black Stallion. Great fun for the whole family. My 10 year old daughter rode the zip lines with Alex's guides, Danny and Jose. These guys were great - super nice, professional and safety-oriented. They rode with her and told her... More

We were the only 3 signed up for the Zip line so got lots of personal attention. Very different vegetation from the one we did in Arenal. Probably prettier in spring when everything is green. Dinner was great with 4 others joining us. Nice variety, great sauces. Dessert was perfect!

Fabulous meal, awesome and safe ziplines. Alex, the owner and his crew were absolutely fantastic in every way. Welcoming, friendly, reasonably priced and accommodating in every way. The food was outstanding, beer was icy cold and the company was fabulous. It's only a minute drive past the Tamarindo turnoff. Go! Don't hesitate. Go!

My whole family absolutely loved our day at the Black Stallion Cafe in Tamarindo, in Costa Rica. We went there to zip line from the top of trees. The owner picked us up at our hotel and drove us to his ranch. He was very friendly and nice. We zip lined with another family and had three very nice staff... More

After a wonderful, but slightly bumpy vacation we wanted our last day to be memorable. We found the ranch and it exceeded our expectations by a mile. Alex was extremely accommodating and hospitable. The five of us (boys 10, 12 and 15) took an adventurous horseback ride to the top of a big hill to see the sunset. The views... More

We were a big group - many adults and kids and we all had an amazing time! Everyone from Alex to all of the staff... zip lining and horse riding guides and cooks were awesome, helpful, funny, and entertaining. We started off with a tour of the property and getting acquainted and geared up for our adventure, all of which... More

We chose Black Stallion because it was close to our hotel and we could zip line (my husband's choice) and ride horses (the choice for my daughter and myself). Alex and the entire staff were warm and personable. When my daughter and I finished our ride Alex had cold water waiting on us. Then we rode up to the end... More

We were looking for a last activity before leaving Tamarindo. We were recommended this place by a couple we met in town, wow we were not disappointed! The private horse back riding tour was fabulous, we went around the ranch and up the mountain to the lookout where we found an amazing view of the nature, ocean and surroundings. Our... More
