I had never attended a program like this, so I have nothing to compare it to. I have many good things to say about it. The facility is beautiful, right on the beach. the class rooms have a/c and white boards. The instructors have many activities that are fun and interactive. The other students I met were mostly Europeans working... More

As chaperones for a high school tour to Costa Rica, we took a group of 20 students to Intercultura for a day long Spanish lesson. Unfortunately, as we were only in Samara for a few days, the students weren't super stoked to be spending the day learning Spanish so we only stayed for 1/2 the day. Had I been by... More

I studied here for a week and really wish I could have stayed here at least two more weeks in order to improve my Spanish and experience more of Samara. I really enjoyed my class and my teacher and loved going to class and doing my homework. Being required to speak only Spanish on the school campus was fun and... More

I attended Intercultura for five days, and even in that time was able to learn a lot of new Spanish. My teacher was very good, and the location is unbeatable, right on Samara Beach. I'd reccomend Intecultura to anyone looking to study Spanish in Costa Rica.

Last summer, I decided to take a Spanish immersion program. After doing some research, I decided to enroll in Intercultura for 4 weeks in Samara, Costa Rica. I wasn't sure what to expect before I left, but by the time I was finished I felt completely changed by the whole experience. First of all, if you want to learn Spanish,... More

Enjoyed a week of Spanish school in Samara, Costa Rica. Highly recommend Intercultura. The campus is beautiful and conveniently located on the beach. Teachers were great and supportive. The environment is perfect for practicing Spanish and local community welcoming. Look forward to returning.

I went to Coata Rica without knowing any words in Spanish. After my three Months at Intercultura in Samara I can say my Spanish improved a lot. It was a great experience. All the Teachers I had were really friendly and kind. The sizes of the classes were perfect. You really can feel the familiarly atmosphere at the school. The... More

I have attended about 7 other language schools (Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Instituto Cervantes in the US), and the week I spent at Intercultura in Samara was much more frustrating and disappointing than any other experience I’ve had. PLACEMENT EXAM – The school doesn’t use a questionnaire or written test before you arrive to assess your level, it’s just... More

I stayed for a week in Samara for classes at Inturcultura and it was fabulous! The beach is amazing, just outside the gates of the school. The teachers were really helpful and instruction was clear and easy to follow, although challenging. I highly recommend the homestay as well. Immersion really helped me learn even more Spanish, and home cooked meals... More

We've attended the language school for four years in a row and have enjoyed learning Spanish there. Excellent teachers. And Sámara is a great little town. Wonderful people. Great beach. The school, beach and town are a terrific way to spend a vacation. We'll definitely be back.
