Driving through miles of coffee plantations is a great introduction to the Doka estate. The offer a very informative tour that takes you from seed to drink. They have preserved the old process for separating, cleaning and drying the beans. You wander through dense coffee plants dripping with berries. After the tour you can go in the butterfly habitat. So... More

I experienced this tour with a group of 70 teachers and students in July 2015. The guides were extremely knowledgeable but kept the information simple so that the youngest student was able to understand the various processes. From planting, to picking, to sorting and roasting, everything was presented in an interesting and professional manner. It was a very educational session... More

This was a really nice stop after a long flight. We decided to take a tour and then have lunch in beautiful surroundings. The girl that led the tour was easy to understand and had a great deal of knowledge. I thought it was very interesting to learn about, taste, and take home some wonderful coffee.

We visited the Doka Estate Coffee Tour as our "fun day" while on a mission trip with our Church Youth Group. Wasn't sure what to expect and didn't think it would hold the attention of the 11 high school students we had but boy was I wrong. The grounds of Doka were beautiful. The flowers and coffee bean fields were... More

Our group visited the Doka Coffee Plantation. I am not a coffee drinker but the tour was very interesting. I was amazed at how much work goes in to producing coffee. I would like to see the process when they were actually harvesting the coffee beans. I learned that the darker the coffee is roasted the more flavor but the... More

Our guide was excellent and spoke English very well...I can't remember her name (ugh). I learned more about coffee here than I did at a coffee plantation in Hawaii and think it is well worth the price if you really want to learn something. If you just want to taste some free coffee, then you might not want to go.... More

We stopped here for lunch and a tour of the estate. It actually exceeded my expectations. First of all, lunch was delicious - it was served with fresh fruit juices (and of course all the coffee samples you wanted), all of which were very good. The tour itself was quite interesting - the guide spoke English very well, and it... More

It was nice to learn about the coffee form the planting to the shipping. Too short of a trip for the price. My suggestion to the owner is to include a small breakfast with coffee and the tourist would not feel that it is very overpriced.

It was fun to learn about the coffee process for people who love coffee. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The coffee itself is good. The estate is pretty. The only negative thing I would say is that I think the tour is overpriced for what it is.

Breakfast was included with our tour and I have to admit it was the worst breakfasts we had on the whole trip to CR. Go for the Peaberry coffee! It's delicious. Tour guides you through the entire process, from growing to harvesting to packaging.
