We looked around a little before booking and ended up booking this as a combo with waterfall rapelling and white water rafting, because the rates seemed reasonable. The waterfalls are very picturesque. You will definitely get wet. Wear closed toed sandals like keens and quick drying clothes. You rapel down about 5 waterfalls and do one free rapell without waterfall.... More

We had an AMAZING time canyoning. I highly recommend Pure Trek. The guides were awesome and it was a once in a lifetime experience. I am a little scared of heights but they made me feel very, very comfortable and safe. It was a thrill once I got over the initial fear. The views were breathtaking. They served us a... More

This was my husband and I's first time rappelling and we loved it! We were lucky enough to go on a day when there were only 5 people total in our tour group and we absolutely got some personal attention. Agree with the others that it was a little bit of a let down to do the largest waterfall first,... More

After watching the videos and seeing Pure Trek advertising all around the area, we were pretty excited to go rappelling with this group. We should have checked to see if there were other outfits offering this. The positives: the guides were friendly and very safety-minded. The disappointments: - it felt a little rushed - the whole event seemed to go... More

Exceptional experienced guides. Made us feel welcome and safe. Exciting adventure for our first time rappelling. Provided good instruction for starters. The only down side to this was the first drop was the biggest. Wish we had the opportunity to do it again with our new found experience.

Michael and his team are fantastic. Joel the photographer is excellent. We truly enjoyed rappelling down waterfalls and hiking through the forest in Arenal. The guides are so patient and really want you to enjoy the adventure. We continued onto rafting so did not get to enjoy lunch with the group. What amazing fun! Highly recommend. These guys are real... More

When we initially saw the price ($101 pp, April 2015), we thought it was a bit high, but booked anyway and we're really glad we did. Hotel pickup was prompt (thanks Enrique!) and the main office/rancho/locker rooms was very nice, clean and well-landscaped. It was a good first impression. Lunch was good. Bone-in chicken, rice and beans, tortillas, yucca, salad,... More

We were a group of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids ages 10-15) and had an absolute blast! The guides were amazing and helped the ones that were scared by using humor and making us feel 100% safe! Extremely professional and welcoming from the minute we arrived. Awesome lunch too which was really nice. We bought the picture package too... More

We spent our first morning in the Arenal region with Pure Trek. It was professionally run. The pick up was prompt. The tour guide made sure to learn all our names. Although we met friends that used other companies with larger individual drops, the five included in our tour were incredibly fun. Lunch back at base camp was excellent. Don't... More

There are so many great things to say about this experience! I had only rappelled a few times before canyoning in CR and was pretty nervous about it. But, right away the guides made me feel comfortable. The equipment was organized and well-maintained. There were demonstrations before everything started that helped ease my fear. The waterfalls are breathtaking and the... More
