I booked all my tours in La Fortuna with Desafio based on other reviews I read here and I had high expectations that were surpassed. We went the week of 11/14/09 and waited to book the tours until we arrived into town as I understood in low season it was easy to do this and you could get better deals.... more

The guys from Desafio are amazing rafting guides. After a thorough safety breifing we hit the water where we paddled class III and IV rapids, "rode the bull", and even paddled upstream Yes, you'll fall in, but it wouldn't be an adventure if you didnt. I'd do it over and over again. more

We had prebooked with Desafio....Liquid Lava Tour, Mambo Combo and Hanging Bridges. All these excursions are awesome. It had rained during our Liquid Lava tour so we were unable to see the volcano on this night but none the less we had a great time and we did get served some form of liquid which made us all very happy.... more
