The Sky Trek/Tram ziplining at Arenal is the only zip line I've done, so I don't know how they do it at other locations, but at this one, they instruct you to lean back so you're horizontal, bend you knees so you're curled in a ball and then cross your ankles for good measure. Let me start out by saying I am the biggest wimp / non risk-taker ever and I DID IT! Following the tram ride, there are two trial runs after which you can opt out but thankfully I got a "taxi ride" with one of the guides and I mustered up the courage to continue on my own. What a rush!... more
