For quite a while, I herniated over whether we should do Baldi or Tabacon. My puzzle was solved when I visited the coffee shop in La Fortuna, and the owners, when asked for their opinion, began a fierce debate on the merits of each. Their argument boiled down to this: if you want to have "fun," go to Baldi. If... more

Coming from Puntarenas was a long drive but well worth the trip. Juan Espinoza our guide arranged everything and we sat back and had the most relaxed afternoon and dinner. The views were spectacular, the springs to die for and the landscape breathtaking. The drive took us through San Ramon. What a beautiful little town. The scenery was like none... more

We actually chose this place because we were so tired of driving all day and thought having hot pools at our hotel would be nice. The hotel room was $120US for two included Tax and all you can eat breakfast. The rooms were really nice just about any thing you could want. I'm sure view of volcano would have been... more

Went to Baldi instead of Tabacon as the entry fee was only $25. There are 25 hot springs and all were great and different in their own way. Watch out for the waterslides. Gave myself a concusion and whiplash on the fast one and left a nice bumb on my head. Only drawback is the drinks are expensive, cocktails were... more

The entrance was $25.00 per person, totally overpriced. Beware, before you purchase a drink, ask the bartender for the price, we order a domestic rum "centenario" and coke listed for $7.00 U.S. and once we drank it we were charged $11.00 per drink, they claimed they were out of "centenario" and they gave us a more expensive rum without asking... more

At $21 per person, and another $5 for a tiny little locker, it wasn't a cheap day, but when you compare it to Tabacon, well it wasn't a total rip off either. We spent a total of about five hours in the 20 pools. Didn't find the five extra beyond the water slides until late in the day, so make... more

We were at the hot springs in Baldi on February, 27 2009. Take the time to walk up to the top of the hot springs there is a little water fall which starts the hot springs that you should not miss standing under it is very refreshing. Bring warm close like a light sweater or small rain Jacket. We had... more

A great place- bar is a bit expensive though. bring cash or card whilst your in the springs. also, don't bother going to the springs (unless of course you have kids) during the day- night time is far more exciting!! more

We went to Baldi to relax on our last day of travel. In Fortuna, you can get discount tickets in many places for $18-$20 (without transportation) or $20-$25 with transportation. The taxi from town to Baldi will set you back about $4 each way. Baldi is very large and we had fun exploring all pools from the entrance with some... more

We visited Baldi Hot Springs Feb 17 in the evening as part of a tour run by Desafio tours in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. It was the end of a long day of horseback riding and hiking so the thermal springs at Baldi were just what the doctor ordered. As everyone in prior reviews have mentioned, the music is loud... more
