We visited Baldi Hot Springs during the second part of the Arenal Volcano excursion. I am so glad that Anyway Costa Rica recommended this excursion. Visiting the hot springs was an excellent way to end the day after hiking around the Arenal Volcano and rainforest.

It's perfect for old people or with some with a kid as basically what you can do it there besides laying in a hot water is eating. However well build;)

I had never been to a hot springs before so wasn't sure what to expect. The pools are beautiful and a treat for any age. There is a water slide, a cave straight out of the Flintstones, a large pool with marble seats, a swim up bar, and a large screen television. It had a domed tarp roof to keep... More

Us: A 30-something couple for Los Angeles. We are traveling for three weeks and have a budget of $100-150 per day. It's rainy season, and it was cloudy and overcast the whole day we were there, which was perfect. On a hot sunny day, hot springs might be overkill. It wasn't too crowded, but I could see how if it... More

Bring a camera, it's beautiful and HUGE!! *They have lockers. The swim up bars were my favorite part. Just remember to take breaks so you don't overheat ;)

Loved the atmosphere the included dinner - did not like that you have to rent towels but it is understandable

Get your tickets from the massage place across from the park in the center of La Fortuna. We were told lunch and dinner were the same (a buffet) - turned out during slower times lunch is a la carte - it was not impressive. Would have been far better to leave and come back for dinner. Lockers are small and... More

We don't often frequent hot springs but it's the thing to do in La Fortuna, so off we went. I rated it average based on the degree of satisfaction I got. For all I know it could be the best thermal springs in the world. Baldi is about 10 minute drive out of town. It is a large complex of... More

I am not a big party person! I don't appreciate noise and crowds... Much less if I am in vacation. I had to go and try and check everything as a Product Manager and even though the pools are very clean (So are the dressing rooms, towels, etc.) the place is way to noisy to consider it above average. It... More

Don't ever let the rain stop you. This place is so big you'll either find cover in the springs or won't mind because of the temperatures. The springs ranged from a warm shower temperature to one that we couldn't even dip a toe in to because it was so hot. The also fashioned some saunas into their artificial rock formations,... More
