We are on a bit of a budget for this trip, so it was a big deal to decide to go here. We'd heard many things about all the hot springs in the area, and after weighing the options, I decided that we should just go for it and visit Tabacon. Well that was a great idea! We spent $85... More

We enjoyed the many hot spring areas available. Everywhere you walk there is another hot springs pool to climb in and enjoy the rush of warm water. The grounds were beautiful and everything is very natural. Nice locker rooms for storing your things and showering and changing clothes before dinner. They have a fantastic dinner buffet. If in this area,... More

Tabacon was beautiful. We did the day pass with buffet dinner. The hot springs were gorgeous and way more private than I had anticipated. They provide lockers so there is no need to worry about belongings, which was nice. Fun swim up bar and the buffet was very good. Drinks/cocktails were pricey, but that is to be expected. Maybe best... More

The hot springs were amazing and worth the trip!!! We stayed here on the last 2 nights of our Honeymoon. The grounds, room and lobby area were immaculate and beautiful. The service felt like we left local Costa Rica Pura Vida lifestyle though, and by that I mean the staff was more pretentious, like you'd find in a Hotel in... More

Incredible natural hot water river coming from the volcano, making natural swimming pools as it goes down, and also Travertino swimming pools with bar and restaurant. A must to visit if you come to Costa Rica!

I'm sure I'm not the only one to give my review of this place the title of "Awesome!", but it's the truth. This place is a must for anyone traveling to Costa Rica. The hot springs are a great way to forget your troubles and spend a few days relaxing. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because... More

A river runs through it, specifically an amazing, geothermally-heated river cascading through a series of over 20 pools. There's a large family-style pool (also hot) with a fast concrete water slide and a nice swim-up bar - keep the kids there. The upstream pools are hot, quiet, dark, and well-suited to grown-ups but boring for kids. They're also pretty rocky,... More

The Tabacon Hot Springs was the final 3 hours of an all-day rain forest tour. I was a bit concerned it might be too long, but we were pleasantly surprised. There are numerous pools and grottos of varying heat that cascade into each other (the further away from the source, the cooler the water gets). There are mini waterfalls and... More
