Worth every penny!! They had a special for two days for the same price. It was definitely worth it. Even if it rains, it is worth going. Between the hot springs from the volcano and the cool rain, you would want to stay there all day. They have a wonderful lunnch buffet that is included or you could do dinner.... more

I visited Tabacon last summer as part of a Memorable Costa Rica trip. I've never seen anything like it! I stayed at the resort, which was lovely, but the best part was access to the hot and temperate springs. If you book a private spa treatment, you have access to your own private spring. Talk about paradise! And the cost... more

My fiance & I initially had trouble paying the steep fee for admissions into Tabacon, because it was easily twice as much as the other hot springs in the area. We were able to check out 2 other springs in the area to determine whether we wanted to buy a pass, but were disappointed because they just did not look... more

This was my third time at Tabacon, and I've visited other thermal springs in the area, but I really love Tabacon for several reasons. First of all, none compare in beauty to Tabacon. I've had really good luck too with it not being too crowded when I've gone. The key is to walk the trails and look for some secluded... more

We spent a entire day (our 6th wedding anniversary) at Tabacon Hot Spings. We did not stay at the hotel itself, but rather purchased 2 day passes. The passes included unlimited access to the hot springs, lunch, and dinner. While in CR, my husband and I went ziplining, spelunking, rappeling, hiking...Amazingly, my husband's favorite activity/attraction was TABACON! The pools themselves... more

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Tabacon hot springs - May 2009. We booked a 2 days/1 night trip to Arenal with Costa Rica Nature Escape which included a visit to the hot springs (transporation, entrance fee & dinner). We arrived at 1pm and had several hours for exploring the beautiful paths, pools and rivers, the water was amazing, the... more

Just returned from a 10 adventure tip in Costa Rica. The country is beautiful, the people were friendly and the food was fabulous! Except for Tabacon Thermal Resort. My husband and I were the only people at the swim up bar and there was one bartender.. until he had my credit card, then there were four! I asked to speak... more

We went from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the middle of April and it’s definitely worth the money. The setting is gorgeous so walk around right as you get there before it gets too dark. We were fortunate that almost no one was there. By the time we left at 9 p.m., there were maybe 10 people left and... more

Wow! My family of four was wowed by Tabacon. I was a little disconcerted by the reviews stating that it was overcrowded, etc. There are so many rivers, pools, waterfalls to choose from that it does not feel overcrowded. Tabacon is the only all-natural (non-pumped) hot spring in Arenal. It is so beautiful. I know it is very expensive, but... more

We came here just for a few hours at night, after a long day hiking. The hot springs are just fantastic. There are various waterfall pools to enjoy, each a different variant of heat, while a large, warm pool with slide and bar sits under the stars. Even when busy you can drift away in your own little world. It's... more
