This place is gorgeous. The pools, the locker rooms, the showers - everything is clean, convenient and beautiful. The staff is helpful, and the dinner buffet we had was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

Nothing compares. It is true, it is unique. But it is also very expensive! There are other hot springs like Valdi or Paradise. They are just as good and more affordable.

We went to Tabacon at 1pm in the afternoon and it was very peaceful not crowded, very relaxing. But after 5 pm or so when they offer reduced price tickets it was over crowded and had the feel and kids of a theme park.The entrance price is a bit pricey but it is worth it at lease once.

There are several hot springs in the La Fortuna area but this is your only choice. It's expensive then the others but it's well worth the money due to it's natural setting, several natural waterfalls to soothe your body and great facilities for changing,showering and eating. The thermal springs are quite large. Some parts are quite active and loud. The best part for me was the peace and quiet found in the Shangri-La Gardens.
