I went on this tour 7/26/14 with my 3 kids. To begin they picked me up 20 minutes late which no big deal stuff happens. The ones that picked up us was the camera man and a driver. I mentioned on our way to the tour to the camera man that the most important part of the tour for me... More

All four of us agreed that this was our favorite experience in all of Costa Rica. You drop down into a canyon and follow the river down several falls, rappelling and jumping. At the end is a tarzan swing and even a short zipline. The water was not cold even though it was a cloudy and rainy day. You will... More

We have mixed reviews on this one. My husband liked it but I felt differently because of the cold. It was cold and our feet were in cold water for several hours. Everyone in our group of about 10 were literally shivering for most of the 3 hours of the tour. We had on rain coats to help keep us... More

This is a fantastic tour! Guides were very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. You do 4 rappels, hike, zip line, rope bridge, 2 waterfall jumps. Lunch is served at the end at it was fantastic. Bring a change of clothes because you will be soaked and there is a bathroom to change in afterwards. Pictures were only $25 and... More

My girlfriend and I were visiting Arenal during the "green season" at the end of June 2014. As we were expecting rain, we decided to do an activity that involved getting wet. The day before, we had gone river rafting with Costa Rica Descents, and they recommended La Roca as the best canyoning company in the area. I am very... More

La Roca was the absolute best thing we could have done in Costa Rica. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we will gladly return and will certainly do this again with the same company. We spoke Spanish, but the families with us did not. However, each guide spoke perfect English and combined humor with an authoritative instruction... More

One of our friends had just done this the month before we went to CR and recommended La Roca to us. Ours was almost a private tour, just me and my friends plus a local who was friends with the guides. There were 2 guides for the 4 of us, plus a photographer. The location is beautiful and the activities... More

I was with my husband and two teenage boys and determined not to be shown up. I'm not sure I would have done it had I really understood what this entailed but I am SO GLAD that I did! It was just amazing and thrilling. The guides were so good. They had a great sense of humor yet inspired confidence.... More

Background: As part of a 3-week volcano trek across Central America, one of our adventure itinerary involved "canyoneering," the sport of exploring a canyon by engaging in such activities as rappelling, climbing, rafting, zip-lining, swinging and waterfall jumping. PROS: The company allows pickups from your hotel. The guides were professional, engaging and safety-conscious. There was at least two guides at... More
