Did both night walk, and AM birdwatching trip. Because it was the end of Rainy Season trips were private! Night trip my wife and I, bird watching myself and two guides. Night trip not much for birds, but oh my the frogs and toads. Guide helped my wife tell toads and frogs apart. Am bird trip 70 plus species, many... More

You really need to go here with a guide. We literally would have noticed nothing had we not had a nature guide with us. We held frogs, saw caymuns, poison dart frogs, and gorgeous butterflies!

USD41 got us 1 1/2 hours with little to see, and even less to photograph. 99% of the frogs were behind dirty glass that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The reflections on the glass made it impossible to get any kind of photos of the frogs or snakes. There were 3 or 4 crocodiles and some turtles, but... More

We hiked and saw the most incredible views! Definitely worth a visit! You will leave with some of the best pictures of your trip. It is an easy hike, more of a walk, really.

Really enjoyed this. It cost $29 each but we had two hours getting close to turtles, frogs, toads and snakes. The staff were extremely knowledgable and made the tour very interesting. It's not very big but we did enjoy the trip.

I did a night hike here with a couple from Germany, and we all had a good time. Hiking through the rainforest at night is a very unsettling experience, one that you'll always remember. But if you have the courage to put aside your fears and trust your guide, you'll have a great time. We saw tons of frogs, snakes,... More

My children and I went on this walking tour up to an area where we had a great view of the Arenal Lake and the Volcano. It was a nice long walk and the climb up to the area that had some lava from the volcano can be a bit difficult for older adults or people with health issues. Otherwise,... More

Nice walk to the Buenos Vista Point. We were lucky and had an almost clear view on the vulcono. The walk was easy and took us all in all 2h.

There is next to nothing to do in Arenal / La Fortuna after dark, so I found the night tour to be a refreshing change of pace. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke both Spanish and English very well, took care to look for and pull out small animals from the trees with his hands and talk about them. Unlike... More
