There is no better way to unwind after a long day than by visiting the hot springs and treating your body to its naturally replenishing effects. When taking a break from the soothing hot springs, you can dine in the authentic, home-style Costa Rican restaurant. « less

I own a business in the La Fortuna area and often get asked for a hot spring recommendation. My first choice is always Ecotermales, especially for couples without children looking for a quiet, relaxing and romantic experience. The natural volcanic stone pools surrounded on all sides by jungle are gorgeous. It's half the price of the more well known Tabacon,... More

We went to several hot springs during our trip and Eco-Termales by far was our favorite. We took an ATV tour which took us to this gem of hot spring/resort and just upon entering we realized we were in for an authentic experience (VS the more touristy ones). The grounds were beautiful leading down to the hot spring and the... More

Ecotermales Fortuna offers a great serene place to relax and soak up the thermally heated waters flowing from Arenal without the hassle of crowds and insane admission prices. The grounds offer a nice jungle scape with several pools to choose from (hot and cold pools based on your preference). When I went in September there were around 20 people or... More

The springs are a 10 minute taxi ride from La Fortuna Center (around $7). There are 5 hot springs and one cool one, all interconnected in one area, kind of terraced. The grounds are ample. The temperature in both hot and cool was perfect. The surroundings are 'eco', natural and green, this is not a Disney type attraction. The water... More

We went here as a group of 6 adults and 1 infant. The place was excellent for us since it was very calm and there were very few people there. At one point, I think we were the only people there at all. We went on a Thursday so that probably had a lot to do with it. If you... More

This hot springs in on the main road, but far enough away to make you think that you are in the middle of paradise! Very quiet with low lights. Pool is accessible by wheelchair. There is no loud music or slides. Just the hot springs including 5-6 pools with waterfalls. Following our soak we enjoyed one of the best meals... More

What a fabulous atmosphere in these hot spring baths in the middle of the jungle. Very pleasant experience, quiet too (they limit the number of visitors, you best reserve). When we say hot, the water is really hot! So carefully if you have Health problems or are sensitive for heat.

We loved our visit to this hot springs. Five natural stone pools of varying degrees of heat, waterfalls and a cold pool if you overheat or enjoy contrast baths. All this surrounded by beautiful tropical forest. Add to this a a very nice bar and a home cooked meal included. A fun adventure.

This was great fun. We went at the end of a busy day and it was just what was needed. If you can go early evening the lights on the water are really pretty. We had a package with a meal afterwards and tbh our expectations were not high just because the restaurant seemed a little conveyor belt. We were... More
