There is no better way to unwind after a long day than by visiting the hot springs and treating your body to its naturally replenishing effects. When taking a break from the soothing hot springs, you can dine in the authentic, home-style Costa Rican restaurant. « less

My wife and I really liked this place. The thermal hot pools are very relaxing. You can get a drink from the bar and just wade around enjoying the beautiful hot pools and waterfalls and really feel like you are in a jungle paradise. They give you a locker, and you can leave all your belongings there when you go... More

My husband made reservations for us here when we visited La Fortuna along with my sister and a cousin. I was really pleased with the price and the experience. Even though it was right across the street from Baldi (one of the two 'main' hot springs locations in the area) it felt like it was tucked deep into the jungle.... More

These springs limit the number of visitors daily. The springs were not crowded, children were watched closely....it was a nice experience.

Our hotel (Lost Iguana) recommended this place, and we loved it. We did the hot springs and had dinner, and it cost us $52 per person, and it was worth every penny. There are several pools of different temperatures, from cold to hot. There are bars where you can get a drink between soaks or swims; you simply count your... More

Visted this Costa Rica atraction on one of my trips with a Gate 1 travel groups. We had such a wonderful time. The facility is well organized and offer you from sofisticated and well prepared beverages to suculent meals. And the termal pools are fascinating. Very relaxing. It also offers you clean towels and confortable bathrooms and lockers to keep... More

Ecotermales is a smaller operation than Tabacon and Baldi in La Fortuna. If you want the party, go to Baldi, if you want deluxe with the price to match, go to Tabacon. They are both really nice, just a bit different that Ecotermales. Ecotermales has a max capacity, so you will never be elbowed out at the bar getting a... More

This is a fantastic hot spring resort to visit! I think it is worth paying a little extra money for the smaller crowds and more intimate setting. The landscape is beautiful with a very natural feel to it. Kid friendly with different pools and water temperatures to choose from. A few small trails you can walk leading to the springs.... More

Facilities were clean and not too crowded, although we were there around dusk so maybe crowds dwindled. Pools towards the left were hottest and they get less hot as you move down towards the main bar. Staying for dinner is the real treat. It's typical Tico food but with a little extra care. You can also get cocktails at the... More

We were pleased with the small size and the fewer people. They limit the # of people who can enter during any one block of time. There were howler monkeys in the trees when we arrived which is always fun. The springs were clean and wonderful. The pina coladas were fantastic! Best we've ever had!

This is the perfect ending to a day of rappelling and whitewater rafting. The stone pools are tranquil and clean and hot---just right for soothing sore muscles. I can't compare to other hot springs as Ecotermales was the only one we visited but it priced halfway between Baldi and Tabacon. You need to reserve in advance because there is a... More
