These hot springs are located right in La Fortuna and are a perfect place to enjoy a quiet evening after a day of hiking and exploring. The reservations were made by our hotel and checking in was simple. The springs are lush and tropical, and the "honor" bar is perfect for soaking and relaxing. When the sun set, the place... More

We chose Ecotermales after doing a lot of research on the hot springs in La Fortuna. When we arrived, we were given a towel and keys to our lockers, we were told that the bar is on the honor system (and was super cheap!) and what time to come up for our lunch that we had preordered. There were only... More

I did a lot of research on the various hot springs in La Fortuna before leaving home, and then double-checked with a couple of locals once we arrived. They all said that Eco Termales was a great option for couples who weren't into a party atmosphere but did want a natural setting with a limited number of visitors...and they were... More

We visited Fortuna area during a busy time so many were trying to get to the Hot Springs. Ecotermales was a "great" option since it limited guests at any one time, hence, providing a very nice peaceful and relaxing setting. There are many pools and nooks and crannies that make it easy to find solitude. However, there is also a... More

Ecotermales has a touching story, and is family owned and operated. The hot spring pools and and grounds continue to grow, little by little as the family builds it out themselves. The setting here is much more intimate, far less crowded, and a much more personal service, as might be expected from an establishment run by family and friends. the... More

I loved that the bar was on the honor system and that I had a locker to put my stuff in. I didn't like the gravelly walk down and wish I had brought flip flops. Oh well - it didn't matter once I got in the water. It was really cool to have little nooks to sit and talk in.... More

My wife and I visited the Ecotermales hot springs after a day of hiking through the rainforest. We arrived around 6:00 pm and really appreciated that they limit the number of entrants to 100 at a time. As the sun set, the howler monkeys became active and it was great to sit in the springs and watch the monkey activity... More

We had this included with our holiday booking so didn't know what to expect apart from hot water and dinner. Somewhat hidden from the main road by a long drive. On arrival handed towels, locker key and given directions. Also asked what time we would like to dine. Settled for 2 hours later which on the face of it was... More
