Many of the animals are roaming freely about the grounds. Admission was around $12/person, and worth it considering the efforts they're putting forth to reintroduce many of the species to the wild. A good half day activity. more

i have just visited the zoo ave. it is nice but small. it seems that they incresed their prices a bit. i payed 15 $ US for an hour walk!! that is not worth it, in no way! more

Apparently not many tourist make it to this small-ish zoo. Not sure why but everyone should. The variety of birds in amazing and the trip is manageable to do in an hour or so. They have a quetzal which we missed in the wild. more
