My husband and I wanted to see the Ringo Starr concert but we were scared to come because my husband is in a wheelchair and I use a walker. We were very much afraid we would not be able to get in and to our seats without a lot of problems. The Amphitheater staff was terrific! As soon as they... More

This is a well-designed amphitheater in a good location and a nice addition to the city of Tuscaloosa. It's a good mid-sized theater, not too big and not too small, with plenty of parking. This is just down the hill from lots of good restaurants and bars. The concession stands offer plenty of snacks and drinks at decent prices, as... More

I went to the Train concert in August 2012. The experience I had was the BEST OUTDOOR CONCERT EXPERIENCE! The sound was crystal clear and my seat in the 'nosebleed' section had an excellent view! A venue official told me that there is no seat with an obstructed view! I went to the concert expecting to pay a lot for... More

Because the University of Alabama is so difficult to work with, Tuscaloosa was probably the largest college town without an entertainment venue. So the Amp filled a huge need. They have wonderful management who have booked some remarkably good shows --- CSN, BB King, Ringo Starr, etc. There are refreshments including beer and liquor and food. But best of all,... More

New venue is well built with good sitting, great staff. Right on the river it's one beautiful place for a show. Many great shows this last years. Still need many more production per year but worth the ride.

I didn't like the acts that were lined up at such a nice facility. Not that there needs to be a rap act every weekend but, more soul music, Mexican, pop, something! Well, Erykah Badu and B.O.B. were there recently. So, I can't complain. Also, where are the local talent showcases and the underground music scene? Didn't the Dave Matthews... More

I agree with Americana29 that the show was great, both the Shakes and Neil, who was at the top of his game, especially if you're a long time fan. The venue is really good, especially on a cool moonlit night...magical. Being from the Orlando area, where they charge you an arm and leg for parking and transportation, it was a... More

Fabulous show. Clean facilities, well staffed. The artist insisted that the beers be poured so bottles and cans could not be distributed and it caused lines at the beverage stations. Perhaps the house should provide a guarantee that they recycle to like minded artist and move those lines along faster.

The ampitheater has been busy this summer promoting itself by housing all types of music and community activities. It is a great place for a summer concert(barring the rain) then it is just miserable! You can see from any seat in the house and when the performers decide to entertain in the stands, it makes it even better!!
