This place is well worth the stop if you like this kind of thing. We really enjoyed walking in the gardens and taking pictures. The rose garden was our favorite. Plan on 2-3 hours to visit and be sure to tour the house also. The house is full of antique furniture and porcelain and the tour guides in the house... More

A group of us decided to drive over to see the Christmas lights, from Pensacola. We had such a fun time walking through the wonderland created at Bellingrath Gardens! Worth a visit, in all seasons

I love Bellingrath Gardens. I lived in Mobile for a year between 2012-2013 and visited here twice - once for the light show in the winter and once in the springtime. In the winter, I toured the house, which was nice to do once. In the springtime, I did the boat ride, which was also nice to do once. These... More

We went close to Christmas and the many acres of garden were lit with brilliant Christmas displays! This is a peaceful stroll through some lovely gardens! The manor house tour tells of the history of the place.

The Bellingrath Gardens and Home are a must do and see. The grounds are beautifully cared for and provide a wide variety of garden areas. I enjoyed the Asian garden and estuary. The philantrophy of the Bellingrath family provides an excellent example of sharing their love of their gardens with the public. There is also a wonderful display of Boehm... More

Loved the gardens and boardwalk (bring Deet for the mosquitoes). The house and history of the gardens was fascinating. The town is a little seedy and there aren't many restaurants worth mentioning but we still enjoyed out trip.

Bellingrath Gardens is a wonderful place, highly recommended. It is located in the countryside about 30 minutes drive from downtown Mobile, Alabama. Even though the main blooming season of the Azaleas is mid-March, and I visited in Mid April, there were still many blooming shrubs and flowers. On the day of my visit there was also an army of gardeners... More

Bellingrath is a magnificent find in the country. A bit off the beaten path, you arrive at the estate and gardens not fully knowing what to expect. What you find first is a modern reception and admissions area complete with a number of Edward Marshall Boehm porcelains. You then walk into the gardens and are overwhelmed by the beauty of... More

My family and I spent the day here and were very impressed. First, they have a pet kennel in the shade for pets to stay while you enjoy the gardens. The tour of the house was interesting and full of southern charm. It's hard to find places like this on the AL and MS Gulfcoast where you can walk and... More
