It is unique and comparable to the tradition of the Broadway Musical. It is in fact a stunning acrobatic show combining traditional Chinese arts and modern technologies. The performers present Chinese acrobatics, martial arts and dance perfectly in harmony with the music, sound, lighting, and other special effects, which include a water screen. While you marvel at the highly proficient skills of the performers, the story of China's evolution from its ancient past to the future is told. Hence, the title 'Intersection of Time', as the viewpoint of the audience is set in the present between the past and the future. The performance provides a wonderful insight into China's ancient culture and civilization, with sections about Sinan, an ancient Chinese invention for telling directions, soothsaying and conjuring. There is a fantastic section showing an acrobatic program which has elements performed since the far off days of the Han Dynasty (206BC–220AD). With porcelain jars and vats as their stage properties the performers give an overview of Chinese porcelain culture and greater understand of the country's name of 'China'.Modern achievements that are also showcased include Shanghai Donghai Cross-Sea Bridge, Maglev Train, and Shenzhou 5, China's first manned space mission. From these, you can see the amazing development and bright future of Shanghai and the whole country. The 100-minute performance shows not only artistic skills, but also creativity. Aided by multimedia including vision, original live music, sound effects, smell effect, air conditioning and lighting, « less

breathtaking feats, some really cringe-inducing, but really worth the trip. it's not something you can see any place else. It's also a good representation of the long tradition of circus/acrobatic arts in China (with modern twists).

The show was amazing and will be a highlight to any trip to Shanghai. Disliked the audience leaving before the show finished but that's not the venue's fault.

Our guide bought us tickets for this show. We were not disappointed. Worth the money. The tickets were 300 Yuan each and they were in a great position. The taxis cost us 5 dollars AUS from the Bund. Just get the hotel to write the location down. There are a few circuses so make sure you explain which one. To... More

juggling vases, balancing plates on sticks, contortionists, acrobats and of course the Motorcycle Ball of Death (3-4 motorcycles revving it up inside a small metal ball - love it!) is a great show for family, friends and visitors. Pricing is around 100rmb and not very big so most seats are decent enough. Some parts romantically cheesy, others will leave you... More

Amazing and such talented performers .Seen many cirque shows at triple the price but I enjoyed this more. Small intimate theatre so all seats are good and sooo close to the action. We had a side view which was just fine but if you are extra fussy and want to see everything front on , then go for the premium... More

My family and I were enthralled throughout 'ERA - Intersection of Time' which was a stunning, stunning show. You simply must go to see this, if you are visiting Shanghai! We traveled up to the venue earlier in the day and could easily buy category B tickets for that evening's performance (a Friday night). The auditorium is well laid out,... More

Impressive, daring, challenging, exciting, thrilling, electrifying, inventive, ... all adjectives that can be claimed by this show.. A wide variety of acrobatic high stands... all performed as if it is the easiest thing in the world. Had a great time enjoying this spectacular 90 minutes full of fantasy.
