A nice place to have a cup of coffee and see the world go by. If you like photography, some great shots can be captured here. Nice old architecture in modern Western style Shanghai where the Chinese dress up to be seen. Recommend to go if you have spare time.

If you want to see a version of a newly made part of town from existing buildings and this is the place to visit. Xintiendi is a really modern, cool, and interesting few blocks in Shanghai. Boutique shops and very expensive high-end designer shops are all located here. The best part about it is the night time walking around, having... More

I thought this area was amazing, likes the look and feel of it. I got to know that this area was originally an old neighborhood that was upgraded to make it a new spot. It comes with a cozy restaurants with lots to offer. Slightly pricey area for food, but always worth to explore the different part of Shanghai.

My wife is a interior designer, and very sensitive to fashion design, and what is cool, and she liked it so it must be cool :-) (I am sort of clueless when it comes to those things.) But it was clean, picturesque, and not nearly as crowded as the area near the bund and Nanjing road. (And not that far... More

This area was a very rewarding place to stroll around in. We went to a nearby Din Tai Fung for dinner, which was a great easy option, and poked our heads in some of the shops. The mixture of European architecture with Chinese details and storefronts was delightful. Walking in Xintiandi is a great way to spend an hour after... More

Area covers a few streets and soon to be completed apartments. Neat and well maintained with bars and restaurants covering a number of cuisines. The furthest end leads into the large Xintiandi Style shopping Mall.

The buildings around the area attempt to recreate a certain european feel and is somewhat successful. I had a soft spot for the Starbucks outlet in Xintiandi for the very same reasons although it gets really packed, especially on weekends. Occasionally, you may spot brides and grooms-to-be shooting their wedding photography around the area, which further proves how good/scenic the... More

This is a very great place to great place to hang out and sit outside in one of the restaurants or coffee house and people watching or absorbing the fantastic environment. We love this place because it have many food selection to choose and little shopping stores to checkout. Once you step into Xin Tian Di you will feel like... More

Xintiandi means new heaven and earth. This French Quarter was Transformed by the developer, Shui On Group, for $170. million US $$. We were taken here by our tour guide and browsed around, at night when all the lights were shining form the restaurants, bars and shops. We were shown the location where the first congress of the Chinese Communist... More

You'll probably only come here for a meal if you stay at the andaz or langham at XTD. There are a few good restaurants here, like T8 , crystal jade and din tai fung. Apart from these, pretty average area for tourists
