We had a great guide who set our tour of Shanghai for our interests and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We would never have seen so much in our day with out this tour. It is definitely worth doing. We did the tour at the beginning of our trip so we could explore on our own later... More

Very intelligent, and relaxed, allowing us to tour at... More

Spent a wonderful day touring Zhujiajiao ancient water village with lovely Miki. We also went to an undeveloped village for a wonderful meal, tea ceremony and dumpling making session. This tour exceeded my expectations! Miki was a wonderful guide - she shared her culinary talents and knowledge of Chinese culture. If you have an extra day in Shanghai, this tour... More

Peggy was our guide for a day tour of Shanghai. She was a wonderful guide. Her English is excellent and she provided us with significant insight into life in Shanghai today as well as in the past. We highly recommend Miki Tours and Peggy.

Arrived via cruise ship and there were some delays with having the ship cleared through customs, Miki rearranged her schedule and accommodated this nicely. We were fortunate to have her as our guide for a full day in the water villages and in her teahouse. Despite the rain the tour was fabulous and worth every penny. She provided fantastic food... We had a 12 hour layover at the Shanghai International Airport. Miki had us picked up at the airport and our guide Peggy showed us some of the best cultural highlights of this wonderful city. I felt incredibly safe as our driver navigated the crazy traffic. We saw the Jade Budda Temple, People's Square with the parents' ads looking for... More

We are on our way to Brunei and thought we would spend an extra day in Shanghai along the way. Given the size of the city I deffinately recommend doing a tour with Miki tours. Miki Wei, the owner, emailed us several times and planned an itinerary for us. You can plan your own itinerary but the recommendations were perfect.... More

I was in Shanghai on a business trip with my colleague and we had 1 free day. We were reading about Miki's tours in the website and thought it would be a good idea to see the city during my day off. We were right! We were picked up from the hotel at 09:30 sharply, just as promised, by Peggi and... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
