What a great way to spend a beautiful Sunday morning. Our guide Monica was the best--an incredibly informative and entertaining expert on the delights of Shanghai's street cuisine as well as the culture and history of the city. Equally fluent in English and Mandarin, Monica was greeted as a regular everywhere we stopped. I've lived in Shanghai for nearly a... More

My two teenage nieces and my 11 year old daughter joined the dumpling tour, and we had the best time. I walk past a lot of street food in Shanghai, but I never know what to trust. It was wonderful to have someone show me what to order and where to go. We also had a one hour dumpling cooking... More

We heard about this tour company through their affiliate in Istanbul, 'Culinary Backstreets'. We really enjoy doing food tours, particularly in places that are a bit more challenging in terms of language and cuisine. We did 2 tours - hands on dumplings with Monica and Jamie; and breakfast food with Heart. All the guides were wonderful and it was great... More

I took the Night Street Meat Tour and while I did have some trepidations - mostly about not knowing which foods we would experience, I must say that I greatly am thankful I decided to take this tour ... Dan our tour guide was fantastic ... spoke fluent Chinese (and English) and guided us perfectly through the entire evening ...... More

If you do nothing else in Shanghai, you should not miss this fabulous tour from unTour Shanghai. The small group format and walk based tour makes for a really enjoyable time...less like a group tour, more like a visit with a very knowledgable friend. We loved the food, the sights, and the hands-on cooking class. Carla took great care of... More

Let me start by saying that I live in China and am pretty adventurous in finding and eating local food. I scheduled the Night Eats tour for the very last night of my trip to Shanghai (I was here over Spring Festival, so there weren't a whole lot of options), and I wish I could have done it sooner! Kyle... More

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Shanghai (almost everything was a highlight in this fantastic city!). We took the Night Time Street Eats tour with the family and enjoyed the food, the sights, the tour guide, and the other people on the tour. We were also impressed with the tour guide's demeanor at the start of... More

DO THIS IN SHANGHAI! On the street eats breakfast tour our you will start in a local park and see the "morning exercises," which is a great bit of local color with flag dancing, Tai Chi, water calligraphy -- so fun and beautiful to experience in and of itself... but what about the food?! If you want an authentic taste... More

My husband, college aged son and I went on a "Noodle" tour in Shanghai. Jamie, our guide was stupendous. She was full of information about the culture as well as the cuisine. We went to many "hole in the wall" establishments that we would not have ventured into without some guidance. My son, who was studying Mandarin in Shanghai, was... More
