Worthwhile to take a night cruise on the Huangpu River if you have nothing else to do. Nightscape is amazing viewed from the boat. Take a coat in case it gets cold.
We squeezed in the river cruise on the morning of our departure. It was not the clearest day but visibility was good. The view of shanghai from this vantage point is just amazing. It is definitely worth it. The ship is clean & fairly new, & the staff friendly.
We took a night cruise of the Hunagpu River and had a great time. The weather was perfect, the skies clear. We were lucky to be one of the first on the boat as we had arrived way too early because of a mis-communication over cruise departure time. However, because of this early arrival we were able to get prime... More
We bought the cruise ticket from the Nanjing Road ticket counter. We were then transferred by bus to the Bund where the cruise starts. It is best to go on a night cruise. The buildings along the river are all lighted up, sparkling and colorful. I should say it is worth while to spend some times here because you can... More
At night, Shanghai turns on the lights. The city puts on quite a show, both on the Bund side and especially on the Pudong side. On the river itself are several boats which are completely covered with lights. A night cruise is the perfect way to take it all in.
Even if it's crowded (everywhere in Shanghai) you can delight your eyes in the evening with the enormous colors of the city, all the buildings seem different at daylight, lamps are sparkling, changing shades and you feel like on the movable rainbow
My wife and I took a river cruise on our last night in Shanghai and loved the wonderful views along the Bund and Pudong district. The crusie itself wasn't much to brag about as it was pretty crowded without much seating area. However, the picturesque views make the trip worth it. I would recommend taking a river cruise if you... More
In the hustle and bustle of 25+ million people, I took an afternoon cruise along the Huang Po River, getting a bird's eye view of the architecture that I missed from the Bund. For me, it was a nice, quiet break.
nice ride and very good views of the lit up buildings. the ride was way too long for such a small harbor and most all of us left the upper deck after one round and we all went downstairs to get a seat at a table and never looked out the window again. got great pics!
