First and foremost, this is a complete business place and it is huge. You have to break your legs to cover the whole place. If you can cover the whole place in 4 days visiting each exhibitor stall you have achieved a lot. Location wise it is just fine. Getting a Taxi after the day end is a very tough... More

After a wonderful two weeks in China I reached Shanghai and some wonderful sites. Being 81 years of age and on my own I depended on much help from my guides. They were all very good and helpful but I would like to point out my Shanghai guise Linda who really went out of her way to see I was... More

Ok, what do you expect from an exhibition centre? Quite a lot when you are travelling half way around the world to attend it. Shanghai New Expo Centre is large, huge in fact but that is because they can include a series of 100,000 sq ft sheds to produce 2 million square ft of exhibition space. It is big but... More

This place is huge! Great convention centre although they need to turn up the aircon as it got really warm. Ensure you change lines at Longyang Road as it is quite a trek in 40 degree temperatures!

Though it is an efficient expo centre but unlike dusseldorf this did not have eating joints in all the halls. The eating places was in Hall 6 after crossing halls 1-5. The variety offered was also not much. There should be more restaurents at the expo. Also the organizers should look into taxi arrangements or buses arrangements particularly at the... More

Staying in Century Park

Neighborhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
