Nestled among stately oaks on the shores of Wolf Bay, this campus features Alabama's only daily, open-access hot glass blowing facility where you can watch glass artists make beautiful hand blown works. Also available is The Clay Studio where you can work with our resident clay artist. Classes are also available in both studios. Our art gallery featuring gulf coast artists is currently housed in a small cottage, but our new waterfront gallery will be open in summer 2016. The bay front grounds are perfect for weddings and special events. The Art Center is also home for the highly regarded annual fine arts show "Festival of Art" of Orange Beach held the second weekend of March.

Although it took a while for the artist to warm up and talk to us, we really enjoyed watching the process. Although it was the hot shop, the open air construction made it very comfortable and shady. We all loved the experience and bought a beautiful starfish for our souvenir.

Our family stopped by during the afternoon and had a wonderful time! The artists were on-site working and immediately welcomed us and began explaining their craft. They make incredibly beautiful blown glass in all shapes and sizes. Everyone in our party from age 70 to 12 enjoyed the visit. We also purchased some amazing and unique souvenirs from the gift... I went to Gulf Shores Visitor center - looking for something to do on a rainy day. The glass blowing was amazing to watch and then we went next door to the pretty and Paint building and did the "pick and Paint" activity. So awesome!

We were there during the Art Festival and we really enjoyed many different artists, the food and the overall atmosphere. The center by itself is certainly worth a visit even without the larger art fair. Several buildings with glass blowing, ceramics, dance and music, set in an inviting atmosphere with beautiful views of the bay. Very relaxing way to spend... More

Expensive day making Christmas ornaments as a family.. we are a pretty inquisitive bunch.. the glassblower said maybe two words and the lady in the office that lost our reservation was pretty rude. We are all artists in our family and this would have been a place we visited year after year if the reception was "warmer."

Stopped in here after lunch to watch the glassblowing craftsmen. Always fascinating to see how the artists make glass vases and other items. They will also teach you how to blow glass yourself! Items available for purchase. There's also a pottery studio where you can watch artists on the wheel, take classes, or paint your own. Nice mugs and other... More

It was cold and raining cats and dogs the day we visited, but we watched the glass blowers make a couple of pieces and it was fascinating. There was much more we would have loved to see, but after we got cold and wet getting from one building to the other, we left and promised ourselves we would come again... More

There was an amazing range of artists' styles and mediums displayed, and a beautiful small gift shop in a large coastal-style home. Our favorite part by far was our visit to the "Hot Shop" to watch a very skilled couple of glassblowers in action. This trip was during the surprise storm that hit the coast, and we were close enough... More
