Nestled among stately oaks on the shores of Wolf Bay, built in 1923 this historic property was the first hotel of Orange Beach. It now houses an art gallery with more than 100 regional artists. Other features of the arts campus are The Hot Shop, Alabama's only public access hot glass studio, and The Clay Studio where you can work with our resident clay artist. Classes are available daily. The beautiful grounds are perfect for weddings and special events. The Art Center is also home for the highly regarded annual fine arts show "Festival of Art" of Orange Beach.

Expensive day making Christmas ornaments as a family.. we are a pretty inquisitive bunch.. the glassblower said maybe two words and the lady in the office that lost our reservation was pretty rude. We are all artists in our family and this would have been a place we visited year after year if the reception was "warmer."

Stopped in here after lunch to watch the glassblowing craftsmen. Always fascinating to see how the artists make glass vases and other items. They will also teach you how to blow glass yourself! Items available for purchase. There's also a pottery studio where you can watch artists on the wheel, take classes, or paint your own. Nice mugs and other... More

It was cold and raining cats and dogs the day we visited, but we watched the glass blowers make a couple of pieces and it was fascinating. There was much more we would have loved to see, but after we got cold and wet getting from one building to the other, we left and promised ourselves we would come again... More

There was an amazing range of artists' styles and mediums displayed, and a beautiful small gift shop in a large coastal-style home. Our favorite part by far was our visit to the "Hot Shop" to watch a very skilled couple of glassblowers in action. This trip was during the surprise storm that hit the coast, and we were close enough... More

It is difficult to add to the positive things said about this facility. The "HotShop" is where my fascination lies with this. There are "glory holes" in abundance with glass, glass and more glass. The glassblowers are inspired, professional, enthusiastic and friendly, they will walk one through the process of blowing a piece of glass for themselves such as a... More

This was a great birthday gift form my wife and teens. Adam and Kerry were wonderful in guiding my family in creating their own piece of art at the Hot Shop. For a minimal fee per person you can have unique birthday party or just browse around and see how this lost art creates beautiful pieces of art.

Great place to visit that beach goers do not think about, and what a shame. We love browsing, and sorta save it for a rainy day. However, it's fun anytime and buy able art is reasonably priced.

I had the privilege of meeting Adam Burges and Kerry Parks at The Hot Shop and learning about different forms of glass art. I'm hooked!!!!! I can't wait to return to Orange Beach to take another class. Both Adam and Kerry were awesome and made the experience fun and exciting. My project turned out beautiful and I also purchased one...
