We stopped by on 5 July. Nothing much going on and we were surprised at how small the area is. Hope to visit again when something is going on.

My dog and I started at the Union Station, and walked along the Riverfront Park. Had fun taking pictures of all of the different history. There is a fountain (a little walk down and around the hill) that humans can jump around in to cool off.

Beautiful area, river boat rides, can watch fireworks on the 4th, hear music, fun area for kids - definitely family friendly.

If you visit Montgomery you have to go the Riverfront Park. It is not as nice as the Riverwalk in Columbus or Savannah, but very pleasant.

Had an overnight stop in Montgomery and visited the Riverside Park on a sunny afternoon. It's about the best and most imaginative use of such an area I saw while travelling along the Mississippi. There was a Brewfest and concert in the evening we were there and it looked like it would be fun. Thoroughly recommended.

My wife and I decided to take a quick walk down to the Riverfront Park before attending the Biscuits game. We are avid geocachers and as luck would have it...there is one located in the park. We made the find and enjoyed the great view of the river. I would like to experience the park when an event is taking... More

When park is in the name it sounds like more than just a grassy area by the river. It has an ampitheatre and a splash pad (that was closed) and the dock for a riverboat. We were hoping for a trail to walk along. It was nice but not worth a special trip to see. though the train shed at... More

We toured the old train station and walked along the Alabama River. Convenient tunnel under the train tracks. Signs tell of the history of the slave trade in the area. Worth a quick stop.

We came here for a walk after lunch as it was a warm sunny day. The park was easy to reach via the short tunnel under the train tracks. I liked that the park was clean and well kept. There was even a sand area for the kids to play in. The restrooms were easily located too and were in... More

We loved walking around in the old part of Montgomery, downtown; so many beautiful and unique buildings and history. We look forward to visiting again!
