This place was amazing, and free to boot! Great place to go on a hot Alabama summer day... The artwork was fabulous, the kids section was pretty darn awesome. One really amazing feature of this museum is the stain glass windows and Art works, the museum created for children.

The exterior and grounds are amazing. Once you enter the building there are only a few small rooms. I would still recommend visiting as it is free even if they charged a few dollars. There were at least a handful of art items that were really nice. They have planned expansion of the outdoor walking areas that looks like it... More

Beautiful building and a very interesting collection.. Ideal location across the park from the Shakespeare theater. A very peaceful and pleasant stop.

Just an excellent time had by all. The Museum Staff is so helpful and nice. The place is so beautiful both inside and the grounds surrounding the Museum. Really enjoyed the Young Gallery and The Blount Collection. The Grandkids loved the children's portion. I wish we lived close enough for the Grandkids to experience Summer Art Camp-it looks like it... More

Being from Southern California, I didn't think a museum in a small city like Montgomery could offer much. I was sooo surprised! First, it was so beautiful, accessible and free! The exhibits were amazing. The Lead Pencil Studio "Accumulation' was still up and the stained leather works of Winfred Rembert had just opened. My daughter and I went to the... More

Ok, my cowboy wasn't happy that I wanted to drag him to a - SHUDDER - museum! But he agreed to go since I haven't said one word about the HOURS he spends at the Hunt Club. He was reluctant, but that turned around. He really became interested in the exhibits. Unfortunately, this is a hidden treasure. This museum does... More

I visit the museum at least 4 times a year. I hate to miss an exhibit. First, it is free. It has wonderful permanent and temporary exhibits. It has an auditorium where you can come to hear Chamber music (not free but not expensive.) other programs are available from classes to guest speakers, to jazz. Docents are well trained and... More

...for a small city museum. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but perhaps not the quality of the museum that I walked into. Having been to the High Museum in Atlanta numerous times, I was thinking that perhaps this would have small town feel. No chance in that. I felt like I was in a high class museum. It's... More

This museum‘s quality rivals that of any of the fine museums in the South, and is one of the best museums I’ve ever visited. It’s a tribute to Montgomery that such a marvelous, free museum exists. Both the grounds and architecture are breathtaking. Once inside the museum, the high dome, white columns, gleaming marble floors and open design provide a... More
