We visited The Octagon to see Cinderella. What a wonderful time we had. The Octagon is a beautiful venue with every seat being the best in the theatre. The play itself was excellent with wonderful acting, beautiful stage sets, and an appreciative audience. The Octagon is just a small intimate theatre with the main theatre upstairs. The grounds are stunning.... More

Saw A Christmas Carol last December at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The scenery, the acting, the ambience of the theater and grounds were all spectacular. It was a most memorable experience for us. I had been several times before, and was always equally impressed. Although we had balcony seats this time (which are less expensive), we did not feel deprived... More

ASF is one of the crown jewels of Montgomery. The theater itself is beautiful, the acting is always extremely well done & has a fantastic variety of shows for all ages! Don't miss the surrounding gardens & grounds!

This is the cream of the crop place to go in Montgomery. I went several times growing up and I was never disappointed in any of the performances on stage. Quite mesmerizing to see the acting, storytelling, and how they paint a better reality of some of the writings of Shakespeare. This is a must!

One of best live performances of Dickens' A Christmas Carol ever! Stage really comes alive with mechanical effects--amazing!

A bit expensive but a great, great show. Didn't realize it was not the musical version until arrival.

I've been to the AL Shakespeare Festival on many occasions and have seen many shows here. The parking is close and easy, and the quality of the performance is quite good. In fact, I actually proposed to my wife onstage prior to a performance of the Great Gatsby here! Always a favorite.

I utilize the theatre park for exercise activities. The scenery and atmosphere is beautiful. You owe it to yourself for relaxation and enjoyment. Quite and experience.

Today I went to see the Christmas Carol play and it was quiet fun. The play was very well organized, actors/actresses knew exactly what they were doing, I loved it. The only reason for 4 stars is the uncomfortable seating.

We have attended plays at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival for years, with A Christmas Carol being a holiday favorite. We don't live in Montgomery and drive more than an hour and a half to get to plays here, but it is worth the trip. This is a beautiful venue and the plays are so well done - acting, costumes, sets.... More
