ASF's performance of "A Christmas Carol" is so professional and thoroughly enjoying. The actors are very talented and have impressive resumes. The theatre itself and the surrounding park are beautiful. We had seats in the sixth row--I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The costumes and stage sets are impressive as well. ASF is truly a... More

You will not only experience Theater in it's inception through William Shakespeare's Vision, but with Three Theatrical venues in one complex, one has a vast array of "Grand" Theater and small "Black Box" style with close up encounters with the actors themselves. The action at times is breath taking and elating to say the least. The outdoor amphitheater is nothing... More

The theatre is wonderful and the play was exceptional but WARNING... the signage for the theatre is poorly done. The road road is very dark and the marker for the theatre is not lighted. THE GPS directions will take you to an apartment complex. The Shakespeare Theatre has no control of the GPS but they really need to improve the signage... More

My daughter and I really enjoyed seeing The Little Mermaid in July. The size of the theater is perfect, making every seat a great seat. I have been to other plays and shows there before and each one was fabulous. Can't wait to go again.

I have been to Alabama Shakespeare Festival numerous times, and it NEVER disappoints. I recently saw the Little Mermaid and it was phenomenal. The costumes were all made on site by the costume department and they compared to what I have seen in New York. Very impressive. The acting was excellent.

While Atlanta may get Broadway and national touring companies at the fabulous Fox...Montgomery is blessed with a theater company that brings "first string" national theater professionals to the beautiful....and easy to park at...ASF. From the magnificent recent LITTLE MERMAID to their Shakespeare and original theater productions...ASF is an arts gold mine. Come to Montgomery..see the most significant civil rights sights... More

We have seen several great productions at ASF most recently The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins at Peter Pan. They always put on a great show. The only issue I have is the leg room and small seats, which are uncomfortable for large people. I hear Always Patsy Cline is coming back, which was a great show we've seen there... More

My fiancee and I have now seen production in this theater. We saw the little mermaid most recently and last christmas we saw "A christmas carol". Both productions were absolutely fantastic, there was no bad seat in the house. The drinks they offered at the bar as well matched both productions quite nicely. The theater itself was very clean and... More

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is one of several attractions in the larger Blount Cultural Park in Montgomery. The Shakespeare Festival consists of two theaters, the Festival Stage which seats just under 800, and a much more intimate theater, the Octagon, which has four rows of seating on three sides of the stage, putting the smaller audience all within 15 feet... I am repeatedly amazed at the level of performance here at ASF in Montgomery! Rivals Broadway in acting talent, singing, music, costumes, lighting, special effects, & sets! Disney's Little Mermaid & Mary Poppins (year ago) were phenomenal! Actors brought in from across the country to keep superior talent. Shakespeare plays are wonderful too. Annual showing of Dickenson's Christmas Carol changes... More
