The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is one of Montgomery's treasures. Anyone visiting Montgomery should check out their website and get tickets for a play. I have never seen a production here that was anything but excellent. I am looking forward to taking my granddaughter to see The Little Mermaid at the end of July. She is so excited!

Having grown up in Montgomery, I've seen many productions at ASF over the years (most recently a wonderful King Lear), all of which have been impressive. The actors, directors, and scenery are all world-class, and it's quite a benefit to the city to host an atmosphere fostering creativity and culture. The grounds of the park are lovely as well and... You can see a play or musical performance. There is a cafe in the theater building. They also have a pond where you can feed ducks and an art museum! The art museum has a kids section that even adults can enjoy!! There are also walking trails and a dog park. The dog park has a small and large dog... More

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is not a festival at all. It is a location where plays are performed. It is a great facility. Visit their website to find out what is playing.

This is a world class theater with excellent productions. The acting is superb. I have never been to a show and left disappointed.

My wife and I caught a matinee of "A Christmas Carol" the weekend of our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything about this theater is fantastic. It's a nice size (not too big, not too small) and I don't believe there's a bad seat in the house. I've seen many adaptions of this Dickens classic and was wondering how this production would... Saw "The Importance of Being Earnest" and enjoyed the show. Don't book a balcony seat if it's not a big crowd. They'll close it and make you sit 'orchestra'. Good acting, nice sets but they need one of their many benefactors to spring for a new sound system. There was an irritating buzz in it the whole show.

I went here on school field trips multiple times and love it! The shows are great and the actors and actresses are very talented.

We really enjoyed this play. This one took place in a smaller theater in the basement, and was more interactive for the children. I don't think they did a good enough job with the advertisement, because I was expecting a more elaborate production upstairs, like Mary Poppins. I think it would have been nice to know in advance what to... More
