Most definitely an average zoo - the food is fast, the facilities are clean-ish and the people are helpful. More

This is a zoo that lets you bring in a lunch instead of forcing you to buy their junk at astronomical prices. When you go visit the Mann museum its worth it. However the variety of animals is not what you would find at much larger zoos. This is still my favorite zoo. More

This isn't the largest or smallest zoo I've been to. The staff is all nice, the cafe though is disgusting and way over priced. No one likes it. I wish they'd just tear it down and put another animal exhibit there. But that won't happen. Recently they have added a few new things to the zoo such as a "parakeet... More

Small cages for all the cats. The typical funky smell that comes with the zoo. Lots and lots of kids. So-so service. All that said, it's a nice place to walk and has a fair amount of shade. Prices are a bit high at $10 per adult. More

The animals seems happy and they are obviously well taken care off. There are also often great events there, and the cafeteria is positioned high where you can see the animal while you eat. More

I had a few hours to kill while in Montgomery last Friday so I decided to stop and visit the Zoo. It was a wonderful afternoon. A friend of mine even joined me for lunch. The animals were engaging and very friendly. Lots of people were there and the parking lot was jam-packed but you know, once we were inside... More

This zoo is really very well done - for a small zoo, it has all the "must see" animals and the layout is very friendly. Food offerings are limited to concession stand type food, but the eating setting is close to the animals and in a shady area. Well worth a visit More

We stopped by this zoo on our way home over spring break. The Zoo is small but clean and scenic. All the exhibits are clean and big. If you are just passing through Alabama as we were it is worth a stop. More
