Our family visited Montgomery Zoo during their Christmas Festival of Lights. What a wonderful family outing. The train ride, lazer light show and bucket ride in the sky was memories that our children will remember for years to come. Most of our visits to zoos are during the day. SO getting to walk around and see the animals at night... More

We drove from Knoxville, TN to see the Montgomery Zoo. We had high expectations upon arriving at the zoo. Once in we realized it wasn't what we expected. Tiny enclosures for a lot of the animals (especially the Jaguars). The reptile house was one of the worst we've seen. And all the staff on the carts were flying around and... More

My husband and I were in Montgomery for the day from Atlanta. We decided to visit the zoo to kill a few hours. The admission price was $15.00/per adult and we opted for the $4.00/pp add-on for the SkyLift (which was totally worth it). As luck would have it it was Animal Enrichment Day at the zoo which means toys/treats/games,... More

If your in montgomery this is a really great place to see. I have been to really large zoo's but for a small city this is one of my favorite things to do.

I enjoy going to montgomery zoo for the large animal exhibits. They have done a great job on the enclosures and habitats for the animals. There are a lot of small animals and birds as well. Dont forget to tour the mann museum as well because they have some of the best whole animal mounts that i have seen. The... More

Excellent place to take the kids or walk hand in hand and talk. Beautiful and educational. The food is a bit over priced but you can eat overlooking the park. We always get a combo so we can visit the zoo, museum, and ride the train. My kids always love the playground too.
