This zoo was much nicer than I was expecting. Plenty of nice animals in neat exhibit areas. They have and additional museum that is fun to walk through and look at stuffed animals. The zoo has many additional options that they charge for: Train ride, gondal, paddle boats.

My family really enjoyed the zoo, some of the animals where kinda lazy that day, and was relaxing under the shade. The zoo was'nt busy on the day that we visited, not croweded at all, the concession stands where closed, maybe because the zoo wasnt busy, but over all we enjoyed.

I have been to this zoo a few times and had a great time. It's more spread out then the Birmingham Zoo, smaller also but there are paddle boat rentals and a sky lift. The open area savanna was our favorite. We love to feed the giraffes (although there's not a keeper present which worries me) and watch the elephant... More

Zoo is clean! Was worth feeding the birds and giraffes for a little extra! We will be going back! Went on a Sunday, it was not busy either, which was a big plus! If you are in the area, take a visit!

I have visited this Zoo several times. I like how up close you can get to the animals. Each time there is more to experience. We ate at the restaurant there. The food was good, tasty, and hot. The atmosphere is nice. If I have a complaint it would be the false advertisement on the price of gate admission. on... More

We were only in Montgomery for the weekend and decided to spend Sunday morning at the zoo. We had a great time! The zoo is laid out by continent and easily navigated. There were some great animals and they were all pretty active and engaging. We were saddened by the sloth bear, though, who paced back and forth...but loved the... More

The Montgomery Zoo is largely what I expected from a small/medium sized zoo in this area. The animals seemed to be cared for if not in smaller cages (especially the predators). It was sad to see the leopards and sloth bear pacing back and forth for hours. I wish that the zoo had plaques and more information on how the... More

We are "zoo fans" and so we traveled over here to stop in with our young kids. It was fun! It was smaller than some of the larger ones I had been to, but no less fun. The giraffe feeding was entertaining and good selection of animals. I'm not sure I would recommend this over, let's say the Atlanta Zoo... More

Not a bad little zoo but definitely needs some updating. the areas that have been renovated recently look great, but the older sections look like they're from the 70's. The kids loved it regardless and we had a great time watching them.

We have been going to the Montgomery Zoo since it opened, and the years have seen MANY additions and improvements. The best value is buying an annual membership. When our children were young we bought the family membership, and now we buy the grandparents membership. Our grandchildren ages 10 and under love going to the zoo. There is a good... More
